Thorny Posted December 9, 2016 Report Share Posted December 9, 2016 When is the last time, prior to the annual post trade deadline roster limit easing, that the Sabres sat 2 healthy forwards? They seem to be far more willing to either go w/ 8 D or simply go w/ 22 skaters. (It's good to have your farm club 80 minutes away.) They even seem to just go with 20 at times. The 18 skaters dressed and 2 goalies. No one sitting healthy in the press box. That's usually when there are injuries though. You are right that they generally have 22, when healthy, with a couple guts scratched. Even when healthy they don't seem to often go with the max 23.
