mjd1001
Ok, I'm not sure where to put this but I just had to vent. Just watched the end of the Indy 500. Now I do have a Hi-def scree, but it isn't the biggest in the world, and what does ABC do? The last couple of laps when drivers are passing each other and battling for the lead, they go to a split screen (making the race actually only about 30% of the entire screen) so on the other side of the screen we can see the wive/girlfriends of the drivers reacting to each pass or holding their hands together? SERIOUSLY?? Then, just seconds after the race ends, back to a split screen with the very first interview the wife of the winning driver. Just annoying. IKnowPhysics
I only started watching motor sports again about a year and a half ago. It's pretty clear that NBC excels at open wheels (F1, IndyCar) coverage and FOX excels at NASCAR. ESPN/ABC dabble in both IndyCar and NASCAR, but seem to suck at it, IMO. The coverage you describe sounds very Disney-esque, which isn't atypical for ABC.

Apparently ABC thinks they have a chance in heck of getting chicks to watch racing. Ain't gonna happen.

Byebye
Yeah I hear you man. During the 2014 Olympics they had the same thing going. I was watching hockey then only got a half size screen because some ###### was figure skating. I was quite upset Edited May 29, 2014 by Naulter8
