Yea, on the field and on the ice it's ultimately up to him, but he had a pampered upbringing with all the necessary connections. I don't think he would've made it as far on his play alone. There's so many super talented people who get overlooked because they didn't have wide open avenues to success from birth. Needless to say, I'm not impressed.
