At the Igloo in Pittsburgh, Uwe Krupp scores on a long shot one minute into overtime to beat the Penguins 3-2 and knock the fledgling mini-dynasty out of playoff contention.

 

March 31, 2004

The Sabres beat the Rangers at Madison Square Garden to extend their unbeaten streak to six games. The team will not win another game for a very long time.

OOO-vay had a knack for those long, important goals, didn't he? His Cup-winning goal for the Avs was a slapper from the blueline that snuck by Beezer...
