It's because their shifts are too long.

Sabres need to shorten up their shifts before it costs them.

If you're talking +/- I think that's a little unfair to Bryson. He's not a top-4 guy but he's been playing top-4 minutes. He's okay in a bottom pairing role but I would like to see an upgrade even there.

They call it a morning skate but it's a practice session. Doing a morning skate in the middle of a back-to-back likely saps too much energy though so teams usually skip it or make it optional.

Practice. Perhaps you've heard of it? First time in over 30 years, I might add.

I noticed the same. It means they win big and lose little. I do think that if the injuries resolve and they can stay healthy they will be a Win Big team again and will climb back into the playoff hunt.

I don't want Alex to settle down. I want him to skate just a little faster, hit a little harder, pass a little better and score a lot more because he's so geeked up. In fact I'll call it: Tuch with 4 goals tonight.

You know what though? I think Mitts could be a decent 4C.

The St. Louis Blues had an 8 game losing streak this year also. They are in a 7 game winning streak right now. If the Sabres do the same, they will average out to a period of ~.500 hockey. Things look bleak right now but with the injuries resolving maybe they can get on a roll.
