Maybe our goaltending wasn't good enough to "steal" a win tonight, but Levi had his moments....so I'm not in the camp that we should have overpayed for an aging goalie in the off-season. However, I do continue to doubt the coaching staff to achieve a stronger defensive zone game to help our goalies. Once again, we gave up too many quality chances at ES and even with the PP.

I love Peca, but no....this team needs a PROVEN head coach at the helm

I question whether or not he even has it as a successful head coach (in the NHL). He's 56 and never had an NHL head coaching gig until the Sabres. I'd rather a more proven head coach, which may now be more possible given our talent pool. I recognize there was a time where most seasoned NHL coaches would not want the job...so maybe we settled on Meatballs

I question how "ready" this team was for the regular season. The coaches are the same, the players are largely the same with the exception of a rookie forward, young goalie and two defenseman. It feels like the start of the season has been mismanaged by those in charge.

Anybody notice on the breakaway (Tuch's turnover) that Dahlin came and congratulated Levi after the save? At the same time, Tuch did a 180 at center ice and headed straight for the bench. Really wondering where his head is at (unfortunately). Last year I thought he should have an "A" on his sweater, but right now I'm perplexed and worried.
