I'd prefer a firing NOW personally. The players need to get the message before the season is over, that the rest of this season is their audition to prove they are worth bringing back. I don't care if Appert or Bozo the clown is the interim, but don't waste the last quarter of the season helping the players get ready for golf season.

In some other parallel universe, this might be hockey heaven.....but this truly is hockey hell. Things are getting completely toxic between the team and fans. As some others have suggested, this may be the true plan so that TP can sell the team without much opposition.

I hate it when the NFL and now the NHL play games in Europe. IMHO they serve no benefit to the fans of any teams impacted.....even if the teams suck (like Buffalo).

What this team needs is simply not already a part of it today. They need a GM and a coach with an FU attitude and they also needed different players who bring the same FU attitude. Look at Philadelphia as an example. No amount of lipstick on this pig will deliver what we want.

I didn't hear it, so thanks. That said, what I don't see here is any sense of accountability...whether it be TP's, GMKA's, DG's, etc. What's missing is taking any responsibility for this crap show and not enough commitment to fix the problem.

Isn't that what happened (kind of) with Krueger and Granato...etc? What about Housley and his assistants? Sorry, but IMHO it has to be a HC with LOTS of experience and a proven record.

No chance they'll succeed if they bring him back. The players need to hear a completely different voice....and I don't mean one that says similar things as DG or Krueger. They need somebody who has a pulse who keeps it simple....not the word salads we have heard the past 3 or 4 seasons. Every single coach including DG should be replaced.

Please throw in Oloffson and Bryson as well!

This reminds me of the Seinfeld episode where George decides to do the exact opposite of what he thinks he should do. By doing the opposite, things work out great. I wish somehow Pegula could be George in any decision involving the Sabres......do the exact opposite please!!!

I seriously doubt they even practice doing this.

He needs to pay for a new football stadium (cost overruns). The rationale he can use for selling is to run the team into the ground, thus causing fan interest to become nonexistent.....then nobody will object to him selling to a new owner who wants to move the team elsewhere. He has been highly successful in terms of running this team into the ground (so far).

My side theory is that Pegula thinks he's smart enough to make good hockey decisions, which obviously is delusional on his part.

Maybe Brandon Beane wants to expand his horizons! 😁
