  1. Maybe that’s why the refs call stupid penalties on him and don’t call the ones they should. Zach deserves better, but the refs never give him a fair shake.
  2. But….are they that much tougher (so far)? Kesselring and Doan may help, but I’m not sure I’m seeing enough otherwise to convince me the change is enough. I get that JJP didn’t bring any grit and that his absence makes it possible to add somebody still, but it hasn’t happened yet IMHO. When you are the softest team in the entire league, we need more toughness….a LOT more
  3. We desperately need guys who are truly hard-wired to play this style…not hoping that they can be “coached” to play this way. Maybe Kevyn really did watch the playoffs this year. My sarcastic side hopes this current Sabres’ regime doesn’t try to neuter his aggression.
  4. Don’t forget Kieber, taken in 2024 draft as well.
  5. The Sabres organization will try to rehabilitate him into a Lady Byng candidate.
  6. Adams trying to negotiate the purchase of an automobile is every car salesman’s dream. He has no finesse to gain any leverage. He is limited to playing checkers when all other GM’s are playing 4D chess.
  7. So what are you doing with Malenstyn and Lafferty?
  8. I was hoping Mrtka might play more angry than Krupp…oh well!
  9. Any opinions out there on how Mrtka might compare to Adam Kieber?
  10. If it’s Emily Kaplan, then take it with a grain of salt.
  11. As long as he’s taller than 5-9 please, preferably at least 6 foot or taller
  12. Please help me remember if Buffalo would have drafted 7th or 8th before the stupid lottery?
  13. I forgot, what does EEE stand for?
  14. I wanted a bigger and tougher team. This trade helps.
  15. Objectively….is Rossi that much better than Ryan McLeod?
  16. I think Quinn was a complete failure it multiple ways last season. He will also never be a guy you want in your foxhole if a scrum ensues on the ice. That said, I think he has more hockey IQ than JJP and that the organization is counting on him for more goals (to make up for JJP's departure). I sure as hell don't know what to expect from him next season, but I do expect to see him on the roster. In GMKA's mind, Quinn's price tag will still be cheap enough.
  17. I hope this is true...a team that doesn't have each other's back is a bad stink that haunts this franchise like no other.
  18. I don't want Muel either, but my guess is that he is still the "plan" as far as Dahlin's partner. Byrum hopefully gets moved for a top 6 forward. Muel stays because GMKA basically denied a buyout is happening and nobody will otherwise trade for his contract. That said, I hope somehow Muel gets a lobotomy and starts playing with more grit and jam.
  19. Something that is below the radar to me is Bertnard-Docker. I'd like to see a bigger sample of him....as I didn't hate what little I saw last season. He should still be cheap as an RFA. I won't be surprised to see Clifton gone at the deadline (if not before).
  20. Or maybe Kulich on wing, which is where I think he actually belongs. Go get another center and move Kulich to wing.
  21. Impressive....most impressive!
  22. i can't believe I'm going to say this, but I'm not hating this trade. If both players are a better fit for a more physical and defensive game, then I've been wanting more of these types of players. If Kesselring can play with Power and be the partner he's been lacking thus far, then great....it also makes for a stronger right side D corps overall. If Doan can bring more physicality than others that Adams missed on, then I like it. More moves can be made to replace JJP's goal production, plus who knows....maybe Quinn might actually show up this year. Use the money saved on JJP's deal to go after another center, either by trade or I would like to see them go after Tavares.
  23. Actually neither. Pegula has embraced the “virtual” concept. We have a virtual AGM who lives in Pittsburgh, a virtual senior Advisor who lives in Ohio and a virtual special advisor who lives wherever (Carolina?). At this rate, Pegula going to have a virtual coaching staff, virtual players and a virtual arena.
  24. Well, at least part of the time he's talking to Terry EVERYDAY! 🙃
