Huh? Yes I do think there should be more vets and that Benson should be developing elsewhere. BUT - since that is NOT happening, then I hope he has the magic to influence the other ho-hum players who otherwise don’t show up. Yes, other players should be embarrassed that the toughest guy on the team some nights is the smallest and youngest player. Finally, I am NOT a Homie.

Part me hopes the Sabres never get a power play in the 3rd period, especially when they have a lead. Usually nothing good happens and it seems more likely something will go wrong.

If there was ever a situation where a 19 year old can change the attitude of his entire team….this is where I hope it can happen. If I was a player on the Sabres, I’d be embarrassed that the smallest and youngest player on the team has more courage than me or anybody else. I want more Benson’s on the Sabres…but right now he’s alone.

Joki has been quietly effective in his return to the lineup…..I’ve not been a fan of his in the past, but will keep an open mind.
