  1. Maybe we need Cal Petersen after all....?
  2. GM JBot was really, REALLY bad in his talent evaluations.
  3. I'd rather see Houser quite honestly.
  4. We finally have 2 scoring lines! The kids are back!
  5. Agree...I might add an honorable mention to Casey Fitzgerald who I thought played a quietly effective game. I've not given him enough props before, but he wasn't bad tonight.
  6. I don't see Marco Rossi scoring that kind of a goal (SO winner).......I'm happy to admit when I'm wrong!
  7. Late collapse & SO win > Late collapse and OT loss I guess that's progress!?!? 🙃
  8. Crazy game....despite a 3 goal lead, I feel like we stole a point tonight.
  9. Can any of the new centers we drafted this year win faceoffs consistently? Our current center roster may never reach 50%
  10. Buckle up....it's going to be a rough 8 minutes.
  11. TNT's long and active stick is a great tactic on the PK....along with your point about him being dangerous if he gains possession and the opposing team's defender might be a forward playing point on the PP.
  12. One if the best PK's I've seen in a while....some good scoring chances.
  13. That doesn't look like deliberate knee on knee to me!
  14. He's not the "Great One" during intermissions, but I'd take him any day vs. listening to "Biz" - the Leaf's fan bozo.
  15. I believe he had Brady Tkachuk as his linemate....so yes, he looked pretty decent then!
  16. I like this one! Let's hope we see it more often, but then again it's Mule 🙂
  17. If I'm not mistaken, he's being paid somewhere around $5 million a year (3 year deal)....kind of expensive for so-so performance!
  18. Unfortunately, the majority of the 2017 Sabres draft was a bust. GM JBot's incompetence is showcased here with Mitts, UPL (IMHO is not up to the challenge of NHL or possibly even AHL caliber standards), Davidsson, Laaksonen, Pekar all collectively having minimal impact. Bryson is the only pick who has actually played somewhat and is a bottom 6 player at best.
  19. Agree...I'd like to see one or two more true "power" forwards on this roster who can finish their checks, win some 1-on-1 puck battles and not be afraid to go to the more meaty parts of the ice vs. playing a perimeter offense game.
  20. IMHO - Mitts needs a strong power forward to enhance his game. It may not be a great reference, but years ago when Casey played in the world juniors, I thought he played with Brady Tkachuk and they made a great line. Then again, who would not play better with a Tkachuk as a line mate.
  21. Yes, they are a young team, but what I can't get past is a lack of intensity. I would expect more emotion and desperation, but what we get is limp and lifeless efforts each game including tonight. I could excuse losses if the effort was there, but it's not.
