  1. I'm sorry but I've seen the replay 10 times now and that kick off was NOT designed as a squib kick. I don't care what Chan says, he is making excuses for his kicker. Rayner tried to gun it deep and ###### up big time lol
  2. Well, that just sucks, but I can't say I agree with a squib kick there. There was already a 15 yard penalty-- sure you take the risk of giving up a big return if you kick it to McKnight or whoever else was taking back kicks, but even a properly executed squib kick pretty much guarantees theyd get the ball around midfield anyway..
  3. On the plus side, Fitz actually threw the ball downfield today. And Stevie burned Revis all day for the second time this season. You want someone to blame? How bout the guy who ###### up a kickoff and allowed the Jets to get good enough field position to tie the game before half time.
  4. I will send out counter offers today if I find one that I think will work. But I'm not trading Reimer.
  5. Ugh, I like the offer, I think it's close... Im just incredibly scared of Ovechkin/Semin heating up and making me feel like I got ripped off. Lol. I'll try to make a decision before the new week starts.
  6. Lol, +1. Jeez. Ovechkin is virtually untradeable right now. If anyone is interested hit me up.. I'll take what I can get I guess lol, as long as it's pretty reasonable. Ovechkin + Jeff Skinner package too. edit: Gold league btw..
  7. 6 points in 8 games and playing on one of the most dangerous offensive units in the league right now..
  8. Every time I pick up Connolly (but am unable to play him due to the weird nature of fantasy hockey on Yahoo) he scores.
  9. I'm not embarrassed, but instead completely dumbfounded that a fan of this team thinks that debacle vs Boston was the "first sign" of trouble.
  10. If the Bills had an actual receiver (one that can catch) running deep routes they'd be in this game still.
  11. Nope, Kaleta wasn't on the ice. For the most part I agree. Though I do give Tyler a LITTLE bit of credit... he was the only guy to actually get ahold of Lucic (and I mean get ahold of him, not bounce off of him like Sekera and Pominville did  ) but even Myers is no match for Lucic if they had actually dropped the gloves. Goose should have went into beast mode and lost all regard for human and referee safety on his way to Lucic. Even Kaleta could have done more... not long after the hit, Kaleta had a chance to drive the net hard and get some real payback... instead he bailed out at the last second and pretty much avoided contact with Thomas. He should have plowed him over. FWIW, the second collision with Miller in which Leino was penalized for "tripping" the Boston player, NHL Network anchors were in agreement the penalty should have went to Boston and not Leino. Not that it matters now.
  12. I think most professional athletes try to tune out the media, probably don't read the paper or too many articles about them. But I really hope the Sabres are paying attention to the media now. Writers are having a field day with how soft the Sabres are lol
  13. I agree. But a lot of that is his size. He is effective because there is probably a handful of players in the league who even remotely come close to matching him pound for pound. He can run over goalies and deliver borderline hits because he is invincible lol. Chris Neil or Patrick Kaleta can do a lot of running around, but like we saw Stafford take down Neil after the Drury hit several years ago, those guys can be dealt with. Lucic is a man amongst men. How can you even respond to that? Anybody going toe to toe with Lucic is going to get pounded... Regehr is the only one (on the sabres) I would even give a fighting chance.
  14. http://blogs.buffalonews.com/sabres/2011/11/injured-miller-calls-out-lucic-gaustad-embarrassed-by-sabres-lack-of-response.html Strong words from Miller -- a little bit out of character, I would say. He wouldn't go into detail what his injury is. Maybe he is p*ssed because he knows it could be a long-term injury? Just speculating on that...
  15. I have spent at least 20 minutes each of the last three days looking at peoples teams and trying to put together a trade to save my season but everytime I can't decide on a fair offer or I back out of trading Ovechkin. So indecisive. If anyone wants to help me out, pretty much my whole roster is open for trades!
  16. Still taking offers for Ovechkin in gold league.. I know he's off to kind of a slow start but it's still Ovechkin. :nana:
  17. Ugh, the IR system on here is whack... TC has been on IR all season, allowing me to free up another roster spot... so now that he's officially coming back tonight, I go to put him in and have to drop a player.. cool.. makes sense so far.... then I drop a player and the change doesn't take effect for 24 hours, so I can't use Connolly tonight regardless.
  18. Of course, weave was right. It wasn't that you were completely wrong and out of line on your eklund comparison. Right. He compared me asking for Bills' fans opinions on whether the team should acquire a WR said to be on the trading block to Eklund as if I "reported" a deal happening or something, then says I backed down when I was "called out" on it (when there was nothing to be "called out on" to begin with).. and then says it's "not the first time" I've done it. Huh? I know the exchange he's referring to and here's how it went down: I have no problem with his views on the Bills and I respect the fact that he disagrees with me on whether or not they should add a WR, but I really have no idea what he's talking about w/ the Eklund stuff and would like to know how the above exchange translated in his brain to me playing Eklund and backing down when "called out."
  19. what?? i don't know what you're talking about with the "resident Ecklund" stuff lol. i was watching sportscenter and Schefter said reggie wayne was being shopped... wasn't acting like any sort of "insider", i was asking if posters here would be interested in acquiring wayne for the supposed 4th round pick pricetag since the overwhelming response was a loud and clear "NO" to T.O. a day or two earlier when i brought it up. Same with brandon lloyd. just gauging interest and sparking conversation. I'm okay with you disagreeing with me but you're way off if you think i'm trying to be "nfl insider" or something. i admit i don't really know ###### about football, my highschool didn't even have a team until my senior year. you're misinterpreting my posts if you think i'm trying to sound like an expert. that's hogwash. and furthermore i've posted like ~15 times in this thread... TWO of them had to do with "rumors" and those were the "would you want to add reggie wayne" and "would you want to add brandon lloyd" posts. that's right, it is my opinion, not a fact. most of my posts reflect MY opinion. and yea, maybe a deep threat isn't important in chan's offense right now... or maybe that's the case because we don't have a deep threat? if we add one, Chan has probably 40 more plays he could work into the playbook. i'm sure he adjusts his gameplan to accommodate the players he has available to him.. if you acquire and make a deep threat available to him, we probably see more deep passes, no? especially if you're going 5-wide... again i'm not a football expert, but if you have a reggie wayne going on a streak, thats gonna pull at least one safety way off the play and create more room for the other 4 receivers to catch and run with. or maybe i'm way off?
  20. Lol, I don't know what your beef is, nor do I know what a schtick is. obviously it was a bit of hyperbole, but the Bills haven't aired the ball out since they beat the Patriots doing it. They didn't vs Cinci, barely squeaked by Philly because they relied on short passes and WR screens almost the entire second half, and now blew it against the Giants -- yes, Roosevelt caught a 60 yard TD, but it was a short pass that turned into a big gain. Other than a couple "quick strikes" Buffalo's offense never found it's rhythm because of a lack of a true deep threat. Fitz is a good QB, he can make the throws -- he made two really bad ones against the Giants, but other times had people open downfield only to take a 10-yard field goal preventing sack instead. All I'm saying is they should add one of these cheap, good WRs and not be afraid to pass the ball. You don't have to go saying I "don't watch the games" because I have a different opinion than you. edit: oh a schtick is an "act" (you really do learn something new every day!) sorry my "act" of discussing the bills and different ways i think they can improve is getting old for you bro. maybe you shouldn't have opened the "Bills" thread or visited this "discussion board" today.
  21. There probably wasn't much interest, but there's nothing wrong with taking a chance on somebody -- worst case scenario, he is unproductive and gets benched and the team cuts it's losses. I applaud the Rams for believing that their team can win with the right weapons. More than likely Lloyd is going to be a rental player. Maybe he doesn't fit Chan's scheme. Maybe Chan needs to work on his scheme. Has Fitz thrown a ball farther than 8 yards in the air since Week 3? I won't question the Bills decision makers, but when it's painfully obvious your team is lacking depth at WR, and you watch as quality WRs are dealt for 6th round picks, it's just a little bit irritating. I would have absolutely no problem if the Bills traded a 5th round pick for Wayne or Lloyd and they came here and didn't even score a single touchdown. I'm not a football analyst by any means, but I mean, the 5-wide formation has been working pretty well for us with Steve Johnson and a bunch of young/rookie receivers. Imagine a 5-wide with two dangerous WRs that the defense has to pay attention to.
  22. The Rams traded for Brandon Lloyd.. a 6th round pick that can conditionally turn into a 5th round pick.
