  1. I think that, even if people were more aware of how good his blocking is, his inability to create separation, his lack of high pointing and catch radius aptitudes, his penchant for not being on the same page as his QB in critical moments, and his higher than average (?) drop rate would still precipitate some pooping.
  2. Bro - I said roughly equivalent. Lol. I will defer to you, as I was going off of big picture statements that coaches made about the team at some point in late training camp or early in the season. I have no sense from watching them block to say that they're comparable. (Who watches WRs block? I do not.) And it's interesting to contemplate Gabe being an elite blocker at WR. There were a couple run plays where James Cook got blown the F up by some DB-sized Dolphin. At least one of them was late in the game. Was there a connection with Gabe being out of the lineup by then? Idk.
  3. Oy. Off the watch that now. I am sure he'll bounce back. That should be a good (and interesting) game.
  4. (I don't follow.)
  5. It assuredly is not.
  6. Haha - quite so. In fairness, those conditions aren't good for anyone. But the home team should have at least some tolerance built up in their bones. Also, as for that piece, I will confess: I like McDaniel. I've taken in a lot of Dolphins content on the tikky tokky. He's a nerd, a weirdo, and a goofball. But, from what I can tell, what you see is what you get. I also admire his story of recovery from alcoholism.
  7. Their business operations are presumably beyond the reach of federal authorities in the U.S. and Canada.
  8. He deserves the flowers today and for the last run of games. He truly does. Given a patchwork crew, saddled with a bajillion dollar edge guy who can't do sh1t, having lost key players, he managed to flummox and stifle each of Dallas, KC, and Miami. There's no qualifying it: Effing impressive.
  9. Sherfield is roughly his equal in that area.
  10. Myles Garrett is well acquainted.
  11. As related to me, Dahlin's comments post-game were to a similar effect. I've had it. Eff this. This is the perspective of a player who loves to win, but does not hate to lose. "The kids don't want it."
  12. At the moment, these are the only two Sabres whose games I give a damn about. I like them both a lot. Cliche' to say, but they play the right way. Neither are physical specimens by any means, but they're nonetheless so damn hard on the puck. They play as though the opposing players stole their lunch money. What a frickin' name. Let the church say "amen." This is precisely it. And it's why this particular roster needs new coaches.
  13. Even my untrained eye saw the obvious opportunity when MTL fell out of shape like they did on that PK. Woof.
  14. In the modern game, thatโ€™s the right call. 30 years ago? Thatโ€™s a good hockey goal.
  15. Matt Ellis on his Secret Service watch is the content I live for.
  16. I guess my VPN blows? Itโ€™s on an ipad, fwiw.
  17. I've had the opportunity to talk to a couple of the crews that cover the games for ESPN+. They really regret how diminished the production value is (replays are a nightmare given that there's no one there with them on site and there is a lag between them and Bristol). But I reckon that's how the product can be offered for so little. This was a neat resolution.
  18. Is northern PA considered "in market" for the Sabres relative to ESPN+?
  19. Shoutout to Moose Jaw, one of my favourite faux "locations" for the purposes of my Sabrespace profile. I believe my locations have been substantially as follows (in this order): 1. Medicine Hat 2. Moose Jaw 3. Bobcaygeon 4. Temiskaming Shores 5. Chilliwack (current one - h/t to Benson)
