  1. NHL social media teams are generally pretty fun.
  2. Easiest "ignore" ever? Easiest "ignore" ever.
  3. I don’t think he’s claiming that the Bills social media team was intentionally making fun of the homeless or making light of homelessness. Unless maybe he is. Also, let’s get a woke footnote here: The more appropriate term is unhoused, not homeless.
  4. You're missing or ignoring several layers of context here - as well as the bit's fundamental absurdity.
  5. Am I? I'm definitely progressive (liberal) on most social issues. I even spent some time savin' the world as a younger man -- working with street and homeless populations, as it happens. And I now have kids of my own doing similar things in their 20s. So yeah. I also have a sense of humour. This is sh1tty. I sometimes debate what I can't abide more: A conservative (or whatever those folks actually are nowadays) who wants things to go back to being great, or a humourless liberal.
  6. I just watched the schedule release clip. Solid lulz. That Allen is a character. C'mon. You're gonna have people rolling their eyes out of their head.
  7. Anyone have a screenshot of that crying Canes fan? The little kid? Anyone know if some of his tears were caught and bottled? There'd be a market for those.
  8. I’m not being clear. I seem to recall that there was a long stretch of play for Tage in 22-23 where he was putting up Bergeron type numbers — plenty of points and excellent defensive metrics
  9. I mean more in terms of powerful 2-way play.
  10. This continues to be an interesting take. Otoh, wasn’t there a long stretch in 22-23 where he was tracking as a Lady Bynge candidate?
  11. Interesting stuff here. My lingering concern with Tage is that he won’t hold up. Tall fella. Very tall. UNNATURALLY TALL. Short stick. Torqued one timers. The back injury in 22-23? The slow start in 23-24. Idk, man.
  12. In a neat irony, the prior post suggesting that Ruff could unlock Tage's inner Evander Kane qualifies as a whopper of a bad take as well.
  13. Jeebus Christmas, man. This post ⬆ ranks among the worst I've ever responded to on this board. I'd suggest you think about things a little less. And not for nothing: That meme depicts an animatronic orangutan (so, a great ape - not a monkey) that is malfunctioning in such a way as to amusingly suggest questions to the viewer like "bro, you serious?" It is a modern classic. One of my favourites.
  14. Those are some *strong* genes. Sheesh.
  15. That is an absurd expectation.
  16. Ruff needs to turn Tage into a guy who plays with an edge a la Evander Kane?
  17. Holy hell. I just stopped in at Adams’ wiki. His lack of qualifications is worse than I had recalled. He was an assistant coach with the Sabres for less than 2 years (8/11-5/13). Then he was hired to manage Harborcenter in September 2019. Less than a year later, he was appointed as the Sabres GM (June 2020). (I’m assuming his wiki is complete and accurate.) Just — yowza.
  18. Don’t many of us feel that way? The guy was managing Harborcenter before he was installed as GM.
  19. Man, I don't know. My recollection is that the offense sputtered and struggled until Brady showed he was willing to release Joshua F***ing Allen, which always includes some Big D1ck Energy scampers. Then again, Allen's infamous "I feel like I'm f***ing back" line was from that late November Jets game where he didn't run that much. And then he did go on to run a lot towards the end of the season and in the playoffs. Maybe the point (?) here is that Allen's running needs to be managed so that he's able to run in December and January (and February!). Which squares with your post.
  20. Good thoughts here 👆. I like that having a full complement of WR's will create competition at the position. And I like the idea that having veteran WR's in the mix will lighten the burden on Coleman (who, I hope, can then exceed expectations!!).
  21. Bills sign Marquez Valdes Scantling (sp?) to a 1-year deal worth up to $4.5MM. It's something, anyway. He was good for the Chiefs in the playoffs, fwiw. https://www.nfl.com/news/bills-to-sign-ex-chiefs-wr-marquez-valdes-scantling-to-one-year-contract
  22. This is also true. There are others who can share some of the responsibility (coaches, players), but the overwhelming share of blame rests with Adams. It was Adams, after all, who had the power to make changes with the other people who shared responsibility for the team's ongoing failures.
