I don't know much about this Ron Raccuia as a dude. I am familiar with another Ron Raccuia - his dad. It is of course folly to hold the son responsible for the father's sins. That said, I was surprised when young Ron parlayed (ha) his Adpro company into a pathway to the top of the PSE org chart. My gut sense at the time was that Raccuia would be, as you say, a bad fit with the Pegulas. I don't get the sense that this is a true parting of the ways. I infer that the guy was fired. Past being prelude, we will hear nothing from him about the matter. No idea. I was just spitballing. If he's that age, yeah, you'd think his kids would be in or around their 20s.

You got the most egregious ones. The "WITH" added above is needed, but it leaves the sentence wonky. "THEIR" is also well-takenb, but it's odd to wish the entire family best of luck with future endeavors (like, is PSE wishing the Raccuias' middle school daughter best of luck in Algebra this coming school year?).

It looks delicious. In my experience, it's difficult to achieve certain aspects of the Buffalo style without a true pizza oven.

Discouraging that the official statement wasn’t vetted by someone proficient with the English language.

Raccuia out. Terry Pegula in. Whoa.

What is Olofsson's role in the 2023/24 Sabres?

Please keep the boy wonder's name out of your mouth when discussing marginal forwards on the roster. -

I initially posted confusion over VO wanting out and it being common knowledge. But I just missed the reports. Jeez. How likely is it that he sticks around? -

Fair. I guess I just meant contributing needed scoring from the RW. Probably not from a top-6 slot. -

Skinner's arc being invoked to counsel patience with Olofsson is as sure a sign as any that it's July in hockeyland. All of these things being said: I am lighting votive candles and praying that VO can hold the line while Quinn recovers. -
I'm just clowning on that internet person whose video was posted. And I'm not keeping track of who's said what. Sorry if I caused any O-fence.

Now wait a second. Skinner's renaissance augurs well for Olofsson? C'mon. If Olofsson had bonkers edge work and generally played like his hair was on fire, we might have a basis for linking the two. -
As I believe was posited upthread, the nature, texture, feel, taste of the dough is going to depend in no small part on unique local conditions -- our public water systems and our ambient conditions (humidity, dew point). You can't make sponge candy in Florida, for example. In fact, I don't think you can make sponge candy in most places in the world. Likewise, I fell in love with Czech pilsners when I traveled in Europe in the mid 90s. Then I tried to recreate that experience with bottled Czech beer in America. No dice.

Then I presume you wouldn't weigh in on which Buffalo pizza place is best and why ... ? Oh well then ***** him sideways. Haha - gotcha.
-
Disqualifyingly so. Also, I couldn't really get past him saying he's never had pizza from Buffalo and that his information was based on internet research.

Ding ding ding. Gross. -
Ha - whoa. There's a Bob and John's LaHacienda in NF as well?! (I'm familiar with LaHacienda in Town of Tonawanda - that place is good.)
-
Lots of accurate Buffalo pizza knowledge in this post. I'll echo the Bob and John's take. They used to be definitive North Buffalo pizza. Nowadays, I find them hit and miss. And shoutout for sure to the old Mr. Pizza at Elmwood and Bird. Fantastic. I didn't know that Just Pizza grew from the Mr. Pizza stores. Just Pizza was reliably very good when they started, but, there again and like you, I find them hit and miss now.

I could not agree more. There's a whole bunch of caveats, [Robin Williams Genie voice] provisos, quid pro quos that could be added to my "you do you" take above. If you're serving Wings (and you're in a place where they're on the menu as Buffalo Wings), then you should offer the blue cheese side. If for no other reason, the blue should be available as a hat tip to the dish's origins, even if local palates don't command it. Like, if I'm ordering a gyro, there had better be tzatziki sauce available. Speaking of which, I saw some social media content this past weekend (from a clever creator, Sam Al Khatib (he's just great)) that made me realize anew that some significant percentage -- 20%? 40%? 60%? ... -- of Wing eaters out there in the big wide whirled do not know why they're called "Buffalo Wings."

I’ve arrived at a point in my life where I won’t shame, scold, admonish anyone for eating (doing) something they like, provided it’s not hurting someone. So the whole universe of “Ranch on wings?! Never!” Or “pineapple never goes on pizza” is gone for me. Eat what you like. And as Digital Underground once counseled: Dowutchalike (sp?) ( 🎶 I see guys and girls dancin’ 🎶) Now. Mind you. Will I ever get ranch with my wings or ask for pineapple on my pizza? Never, ever, ever. But that doesn’t mean someone else shouldn’t.

I think that must be the same outfit that kills it at the Erie Co. Fair, is a solid pre show meal at Artpark. They’re a food truck operator now afaik. Maybe they still have a store? Not “Buffalo pizza,” but still an excellent product.
-
The only decent La Nova pizza is at the original store on the lower west side. And even that is hit or miss. There’s so much fantastic pizza in Erie/Niagara, PA. It’s a shame you haven’t branched out to get a cheese and pep from any of Lovejoy (original store only, afaik), Carbone, Picasso, Blasdell, Bella, Di Paulo (Tonawanda), or La Hacienda (Tonawanda). That’s just a list off the cuff. Dominoes? eesh. Live a little!

I forgot @Huckleberry is overseas. My pizza “wtf” is withdrawn.
