Didn't Adams inherit a mess of a team with an 18 game losing streak ? Yeah, now go turn that around fast and make it snappy. I decree it.

Bullseye. Of course there is more to do. Before they went on the late season hot streak last March, they were 35 points or more out of a playoff spot and looked like the worst team in hockey. It seemed like yesterday they were lucky to score 2 goals in a game. To me , it looked like a multi year, blow it up complete rebuild with core players to keep being counted on one hand. Impossible to watch any game without disgust. Positive steps are evident. A very important one is they can now score. That's important, last I checked. Now work on the D play and goaltending. We all get that and I'm sure KA sees that also. Had to allow some players to show something before making decisions going forward. They had to rally just to reach 75 points last year. I certainly didn't expect 95-100 points with this roster. Who did ??? Insanity. Hypercriticism.

I've watched BTN games ,with Michigan and Minny on all the time the last several years. Johnson shouldn't cost much to start and compete. God knows we need 2-3 more guys who can play better D. Has speed, I'll say that. I thought he may be taking a pass on the Sabres to be honest. He has to know a spot is open for him now.

We speculate. The team can finally score after years of seeing a 2 goal game as an outburst. I was surprised they are scoring so many goals on average. That they have zero idea how to play D is shocking.

This insinuates the team is actually better than they are and the coach is the issue ? Seriously ?

Peobably should happen during the summer, when one doesn't overpay. Obviously, the team has an issue with players getting back on D. No one escapes that need for improvement. Team still took a step forward and another step needed.

Bosch with Titus Welliver on Prime was outstanding. Ditto on Goliath with Billy Bob Thorton . Also Prime.

Ask him if he ever watched the 1970's show 8 is Enough. One of the Stars was Laurie Walters. Cue the eerie music ! 😲

The Goalie need crew here. I get it to a point. UPL is still raw and Cromrie is just getting healthy. No arguments. Yet, do you think Hasek or Miller in their prime would have a high save % and glowing GA average with this team ? Good God. They think getting back on D is for other teams all too often. Get caught constantly pinching deep and never have I seen our Goalie facing this many 2 on 1 breaks or flat out breakaways. Never clear traffic in front of the net. Opponents always stand in the crease with zero fear of being moved out. Soft in the corners and losing key faceoffs in their own end. A lot of it is youth and I get that. Still bullish going forward but this team has to help their own goalie. Lots of factors for those flashy goalie stats we all can produce in 15 seconds with a few clicks.

We don't need a Defensemen. We need 2-3 more Defensemen.

Regardless, this team is the most entertaining Sabres squad in years. Meaningful games were a distant memory and have now returned. I get the tough finishing schedule and will just observe the progress. The arrow is pointing up and I hope to be around to see something good in the future.

Woke up at 6 and just watched the replay. UPL didn't have a chance on that tip and the other goal was traffic banging around in his crease, which is no surprise with our bad practice of letting opponents clog his space. Please get some physical Defensemen. Please ! UPL played so well and I do wish to see more from Cromrie so he can get a rhythm. 4 goals for the good guys and they were hustling up front. Now we have five 20 goal scorers. Seems like yesterday I was hoping for one ! How our GM and coaching staff have changed things for the better. Great way to finish the trip. Totonto next and then our 2 games in Florida . Go Sabres !

Can anyone give me a good Defensemen listing on who may be available ? Sabres can score and it only will get better. They struggle on D and don't clear out traffic in front of our Goalies. If not now, this summer.

Just watched college hockey. Ohio ST. upset #4 Michigan 4-2 outside at Cleveland stadium. Portillo in goal. Big as Lurch and moves just as fast. He can walk. Levi is tons better.

Understood but if your ceiling is a B-, C+ team for like 20 years, you start a new plan. Are you a settler with just making it ? Obviously, Toronto is. Ours was a D for a dozen years but with Adams and Granato recently arriving, I will give them a chance to better themselves.

I rarely get jacked when viewing young players... but watching him up close at Harborcenter during the summer prospects camp, it was obvious he was not just another young goalie. His glove and reaction speed to rebounds was eye popping. They would send in 2 forwards on these 2 on zero drills and he constantly robbed them. Tons better than Portillo, who doesn't have that reaction ability. Just watched the Beanpot in Boston. Some of those saves he made were incredible. Get him signed.

You folks know more than me with actual names. Personally, I'm totally convinced whether now or during the off-season the priority should be Defensemen. Way too weak. Non-physical, at present. They let players just stand in front of our Goalies without any fear of being moved out. I like the young forwards here and coming up. Don't wish to see them blocked by some cap sucking newbie.

Leafs have talent and yet can never get out of the first round of the playoffs.

Very nice man. Was always on early Sabres TV games in the 1970's. Used to kid that while holding the Mic for others to speak, he would constantly be darting his eyes in all directions, as if snipers were after him. RIP

I run a food pantry and help with fellow Vets at my American Legion. Help my daughters with non-financial things and also an older sister. The pay is zero but it's tons more satisfying. Everyone has a different situation and journey. Hope Howard figures it out.

I get the loyalty of his players. Nice to know the locker room is happy. Who is the best coach in the NHL ? I'll leave that for others to debate.

Just watched the replay this morning. You folks covered it. The 5-6 minutes of panic and letting opponents screen our goalie turned a 2-0 lead into 3-2. But before one could say Here We Go Again, Krebs scores 35 seconds later and the play shifts right back to our team. A couple of D-Men who can move traffic out in front of our Goalie should be a top priority, going forward. Whether now or during the upcoming off-season. So obvious.

When you're beating yourselves, you can lose to anyone in the NHL. Start skating and get back on D.
