If the reports are true that the Sabres had offered Ullmark the same deal he got from Boston, there is no way the plan was to sign two goalies for a combined 1.5 mil. I’m guessing they got blindsided by Ullmark walking, and now are going to have to make a trade for a starter.

Well...if Adams want to gift spots in the top 6 to Mitts, Tage, Cozens, etc... and doesn’t want anyone competing with them for ice time, signing Caggiula is a good start. 😉

The lack of activity in this thread(Rosen has more posts in his thread), indicates a whole lot of “meh” towards the selection. Just nothing to get excited about for the #1 overall pick. Not terrible, not great, just okay.
