No disrespect to STH but if the two options are PSL’s or taxpayers kicking in more to build the new stadium, my vote goes for...make the people pay who want to use the product the most.

So Jack against the Sabres wishes, has the disc replacement surgery. Do the Sabres then void his contract, making him a free agent? Or do they just keep him on the team, LTIR him for now, and see how he recovers?

If Asplund can grow his offensive game at the NHL level, he could be a 2nd/3rd line tweener. If not, still has a very good shot at being a 3rd/4th line tweener for many years in the blue and gold. Good signing.

I don’t see how the Sabres would refuse to take salary back? If Jack goes won’t they be almost 20 mil below the cap floor...and probably 10-12 mil still below it after RFA’s are signed.

This. The speculation here is way out of control. No one knows what KA is asking for, what is being offered by other GM’s, how broken Jack is, if he has tapped out or not, etc... One thing is for sure, some proposals here are taking the “4 pieces thing too far”. Just my 2 cents...I think unless many posters lower their expectations, many will be disappointed and angry when the trade finally happens...and I don’t think there is any intention of Jack still being a Sabre when training camp opens...broken or not.

I want an NHL to cheer for again. I have forget what the feeling is like. 😞
