The other night was fun, but all of the issues that were very evident over the previous 14 games haven't magically been fixed. Dahlin returning surely will help and I don't think they're as bad as they played during that extended skid, but this is still a poorly constructed roster with large-scaled underachievement going on. I think they more than likely play around .500 or so hockey the rest of the way and don't do much to fix things during the season. Maybe a small move or two at the deadline. That may be for the best, because I do think when the season ends they're going to have to move on from Adams (and maybe Lindy, too) and I don't want him making any major roster decisions anyway.

Watched the first period then went out Christmas light gazing with the fam. Came back expecting to find a 4-2 loss but WTF?!?!? How bad are the Isles?

Rags blanked by the Devils 5-0, now 16-17-1 and have lost 13/17. At least I can enjoy their freefall as the Sabres simultaneously faceplant. Even better because they had actual Stanley Cup expectations.

Question to me isn't do we win or lose, it's do we actually score a goal?

Not off base. They're sloppy as hell. And there seems to be no design to their "offense." Just a bunch of guys floating randomly around the offensive zone. It's maddening.

They aren't good, but sadly still much better than our ***** show.

There really seems to be no system, just kind of tossing the puck around the perimeter to whoever drifts out there. This team is a huge mess. I don't see an end to this streak in sight. They'll get one eventually, but I wouldn't bet on them against anyone.

At least they probably won't blow a lead tonight?
