  1. Maybe we can trade for the goalie that made 34 saves for the Jets...he looked good
  2. It is time to do something before this season goes down the tubes. Clearly this team is capable of playing well as we have seen with nice wins against some very good teams It is not too late to salvage this year but KA needs to act now...or maybe TG clears house and brings in exprienced management, Of course that will not help our goaltending but anyting would be better then doing nothing and accepting another lost season.
  3. Crazy...Leafs score on first shot of the game in four straight games. They are often out played and outshot but goalies keep them in games. Goaltending is so important with every team now capable of winning on any given night.
  4. Having your so called "best" players like Tage or Dahlin fighting is not the answer...watch Boston...they have guys who can fight and their stars like Pasternak never fight nor does Boston want them to. Guys who are not fighters can get seriously hurt fighting a fighter.
  5. Living up here in Ontario (north of Toronto) I am stuck with watching the Leafs lots and they always bitch about their goaltending whoch is funny cuase in almost every game they are greatly outplayed and outshot yet their goalies keep them in until Leafs score on one of their few shpts. Even now I am watchibg Caps/Islanders and everyone wonders why the Caps are winning but their goalie is keeping them in the game, then Caps score of course. The Sabres get lousey refereeing and even worse goaltending more often then not. Mind you lots of other teams (see Edmionton) have goaltending problems too..we are not alone. Adams is at least trying to find one goalie who can actually be consistant and win us games once in a while like other goalies do for their teams
  6. yep and most on here do not want us playing a goon on the 4th line. They really need a fighter as Tage nor Dahlin should be fighting. This elbow was without a doubt 5 and a game...end of story. As long as we do not use anyone who can fight teams will continue to do this kind of crap without worry...
  7. Funny I juat looked at the standings and I thought Boston and Ottawa were playing so good yet we are not far behond and have games in hand on everybody. Just hope that the team we saw against the Oilers and not the team that showed up againwt St. Louis (trying to forget that game).
  8. Yes Cagary are pretty bad...the Bruins ran Carolina's goalie at onepoint and there was no respomse. Not sure why they (Carolina) thnk adding Ehlers is going to help them beat Florida...another soft player is not what they need.
  9. Think any apprehension by the team on OT is a byproduct of many years of failure and of the team playing too tight and worrying too much. Confidence is such a big part of any sport, and the team had lacked it for so long but slowly seem to be getting better. I do see big improvments which is nice. For sure harder to play against, and getting points they would have never got last year (or any other previous year).
  10. Was bored thus watched Carolina and Boston...boy Carolina sure are soft (I think even softer then our beloved Sabres) and Joker is absolutely awful...amazing that the B's even play him. Gave away pucks numerous times and just looks terrible. I find it weird that the B's have ex=Sabres. Even stranger is that they are actually winning!
  11. As I recall Lindy did not play UPL much at all last year and think he has no faith in him...guess Adams wants to try and justify him giving UPL that crazy contract
  12. Gotta think losing Skinner and VO and their goals we may become a Jersey clone playing boring defensive style hockey. Can't say I look forward to that...preferred two years when they scored lots and were at least exciting. I am not convinced that many on this team can suddenly learn the concept of playing defensive hockey good enough to actually succeed.
  13. We are faster and bigger...that is good in itself. And of course you have to give something good to get something good back. We need this kind of player NOW and have lots of other nice prospects for the future. The future is NOW and this year coming up will determine KA's job thereafter...
  14. Many forget the guy scored well over 20 goals few years back and did not even get a ton of playing time. I have no doubt he will do well, as will Jeffy. Losing a lot of goal right there...
