Athletic's latest mock shows some good talent available at 11.

With Iginla, Sennecke and Helenius still on the board, they have us taking Cole Eiserman.

This is just 3 guys playing GM, not an insight into how teams are leaning.

I've seen enough to these to feel pretty good about the chances there will be some good talent available at 11.

Catton and Yakemchuck — 2 guys I frequently see mocked in our range — went considerably higher here.

I'm also starting to see scenarios where one of top consensus D — Buim, Parekh and Dickinson — slips

While I think the "not another offensive or Left D" crew might be upset, those are better players than are often available where we are picking.

If Dickinson slips to 11 we’d have to grab him. I don’t think he lasts that long but I think he projects to be Owen Power with a ton more nastiness

  2. Last year, due to injuries, the bills were dangerously thin at LB, WR, CB and Safety. They pulled a guy from vacation to play LB, Sherfield had the most targets in the KC game and I’m not sure who played safety in the end. This year, the signings are huge names but he’s adding a lot of depth. I expect a quality DE to be signed post 6.1 when White’s 10m frees up

I doubt Skinner has any intention on leaving and Muel isn't just getting waived.

Joker will get 4 mil approximately regardless based on his previous contract.

Stephenson won't take 4mil year for sure

Tanev won't take 3 mil for sure

I do apologize for bursting your bubble.

Agree contract estimates are all $1milion to $2million too low

What do you give up to acquire a god?

Eichel (not as good but cheaper) got us 2 former firsts (Tuch - fine/krebs - sucks) and a first that I think turned into Rosen.

so I’d guess something like Power, #11 overall and someone like Savoie?

  5. Talking to a huge Toronto fan and he says he’s not sure of what NMC Matthew’s has, if any, but he wouldn’t be surprised if Toronto looks to trade him, if they can. He says he’s not a leader (Eichel anyone) and it’s no surprises Toronto got better when he got hurt/sick.

    power/#11/prospect for Matthews? He’s signed through 27/28.

Could be. I like Ladd a lot. Just feel the Bills need X help not Y help.

You do realize that Ladd lined up at the X over 50% of the time?? Granted his only weakness was getting off the line on bump and run but that can be circumvented with motion. My favorite idea is Ladd at 28 and trading 60+ a couple later picks to around 45 for Franklin, Legette or Coleman. Or Ladd at 28 and Walker, Polk or baker at 60. There’s no better separator in the draft than Ladd - think Beasley with ridiculous speed - he’ll catch 100 passes in year 1

  7. Many have been fired for doing a lot better. UPL has progressed but the regression of tage, Tuch, skinner and cozens is inexcusable. Utterly amazing Granato is still the coach.

May be time for the League to step in and insist Pegula make a change… Give him a short list of GM candidates…

Has the league ever done this? Nope and they never will.

I will admit that Byram has played his tushy off since arriving in Buffalo.  His aggressive style is helping activate the entire D group.  His excellent play also makes you wonder about Power.

Krebs stepping in for Casey is a joke.  Downgrading from Casey to Krebs has created a Grand Canyon size hole in the forward group.  Even with the bombardment in the 1st two periods tonight, most of the playmaking was creating by Byram and Dahlin.  3 of the 7 goals were by D again tonight.  2 of the forwards goals were unassisted after great plays by Tuch and JJP.

Krebs isn’t the answer at 3c. It are you really complaining that we only scored 4 goals by forward and 7 overall? Can’t we enjoy a blowout?

Greenway is stepping it up. Thompson and Tuch have been fighting injuries, but they’re still magical.  Byram has jam and the other defenseman don’t look so bad playing one role lower than before.

Krebs is useless let’s trade him for a low ceiling tough guy to someone else who wants to pretend he has potential. Power will be traded 2-3 years from now for a forward if he doesn’t wake the ***** up.

A lot of batching about power and Krebs for a 7-2 games. Power is 21 and Krebs is not the teams future 3C, Östlund is

I love this move by Adams, I liked what Casey Middlestadft has become but it became quite clear he wasn't part of the plans here when everyone of the core players got a contract but him. We need to bolster our defensive group and Byram will be our top 4 D, he wasn't in Colorado because they invested heavily in that department so he was buried on the roster and lets be honest if not for Byrams injuries we wouldnt even have had a shot at a player like this so I think Adams finally woke up and thats good to see. I love for him to make a move at a goalie also.

He was playing on Colorado’s 2nd pair so was in their top 4!!! Furthermore he played more minutes in the finals than any other player.
