Oh how I long for a couple of relatively talented, gritty bangers to replace guys like Eakin, Reider, and KO in the bottom 6. If Jack actually wants to come back and play ball, and if we can shore up the goaltending, I like the long-term future of the club.

Tell you what, I've been watching his pressers and he's growing on me. I don't know if he's the guy to take them a long way, but he's a regular guy, a hockey guy, that's getting through to his players at a time when they could have easily death-spiraled into oblivion. All I know is he seems to be the right guy for these guys right now.

You see that stat? Sabres are the only team to not score a goal in OT this season.

Well, I didn't see it going to OT, so I'm happy-ish.

I just want the occasional heavy check. Is that too much to ask? It can provide an edge when done cleanly and effectively, in my humble opinion.

Laughing about Ritchie's borderline penalty hit on Sheahan, and referring to Tokarski as a "barely capable NHL goalie", and "the Sabres are just really bad". And Billy Jaffe and Dale Arnold are just their usual homer selves.
