It’s a leadership issue all around. Dahlin is a talented player who leads by example, but this team needs an alpha male with a strong personality as a co-captain. Still confounds me Ruff didn’t replace the Assistant Captains. Not a one of them has the right stuff, imo. Want a jolt? I would strip them all of the A and give an A to Zucker, a guy who isn’t infected by losing and last season’s debacle who has the ice cred to get the attention of the group.

I’m exhausted. Between watching and commenting on the lackluster Sabre effort and the negativity on the board tonight, my own included, I will look forward to another chance at our first win on Monday. Goodnight all.

What value does Stahl add? Yes Man to Adams?

We have an owner who doesn’t give a damn what the fans think. His Commissioner says he is doing a good job for Buffalo. The value of his franchise increases every year. No credit to him.

The answer is he hurts us, imo. If you can’t package him or trade him, bench him. Let him watch from a skybox.

Ruff complaining about “no compete” from the drop of the puck. What is he saying to them on the bench and between periods? Pathetic.

Trade Quinn. He is a bottom six forward. Never dominates when he is on the ice.

Dahlin should send out Tuch and Thompson for postgame remarks. Neither played with any will to win. Team Leaders?? Couple of losers tonight.

It’s ridiculous to see what Adams and Ruff have done to this team. Boys are going to have to dig deep to do it themselves. Forget Ruff and Appert. Attack. Shoot. Rush the net.

Norris injury aside, Ruff has coached the offensive game out of this team. Defense first. Can’t score if we don’t shoot. Can’t win if we don’t score.

Agree completely. The players and the fans deserve better. Bettman is a Pegula fan. A competent NHL Commissioner would back channel Pegula to run Adams, Ruff, Appert, and the rest of the Sabres staff out of town to give the fan base hope.

Would bet a bunch they will force their trades if this season goes bad. They both are millionaires many times over. They are playing for glory with their contracts. Pegula, Adams, Ruff, and Appert offer no path to glory, imo. The indifference and incompetence of these men has produced only a growing animus among the fan base the past couple years. Dahlin and Thompson will have to rally their teammates to do it themselves. I’m rooting for them.

Saw him go down in a pile of players by the net at one point. Guessing this is when the injury occurred. Maybe that last faceoff he took before doing a split and face plant on the dot took him out.
