Not puzzling to me… Players aren’t motivated to compete night in night out for Granato, each other, and the fans… Need a new Coach… and a new Captain… Pegula and Adams need to shake the bottle.

After this road trip, perfect time to rotate several of our studs into the press box for a few games each… Tuch, Power, Thompson, Dahlin, Mittelstadt, Cozens… and bring up prospects to get some NHL game experience… Show the studs what hunger and desire plays like…

Granato is a nice guy… A thoughtful, knowledgeable, articulate hockey analyst… Excels at explanation… Granato fails as an NHL hockey coach. His team quits too often… Too many top players mail it in without recourse. It’s on Pegula and Adams to act… Count me among those here tired of saying it.

That would be on Granato, Okposo, Dahlin, and Tuch… Leadership failure.

Tage is coming off an anomaly year… Almost impossible to repeat with Granato’s focus on defense this year… Then there is the given reality of a 25 yr old adjusting to married life with two infants under age 2… He’s even beginning to play more physical… Just needs to work on his direct play… Still reluctant to pass with too much East West puck movement and dangle in the O-zone… Tries to do too much himself sometimes… Has a bit of Josh Allen Hero Ball in his game. Agree with the poster who said Tuch’s inconsistent play affects his line mates as well. Thompson is a stud… He will be fine.

3 or 4 yrs… $2M… We’ve invested in UPL… Big legit improvement in play this season because of progressive development and off season work… If he continues to perform and Levi is ready in a couple years, UPL will have trade value… If Levi is a bust, UPL can be extended… Nice to have choices.

Very entertaining game… Very disappointing result. We had our chances to win… Couple dropped passes… Defensive and Offensive play calling didn’t adjust to KC 2nd Half schemes… Forced Allen to improvise too often… and play Hero Ball late in the game… As we say in Sabrespace… Next year… It’s become a cliche.
