What a great question…
No, I wouldn’t. Too many valuable prospects a cagey GM can package with a handful of current skaters to bring the pieces we need to Buffalo.

Entertaining win.
UPL was good and lucky.
Possession was really good, they moved the puck well.
I am surprised that Washington was so listless when they are right there in the WC slot battle.Look at the shot pattern over the three periods… Is Washington that bad… or did Granato get his line match ups just right?… We haven’t been to the crease like that all season.

OMG… Skinner… Jinxed

Much better positioning at the net this period… Accept the feed… Hit the open net… Score… Haven’t seen this structure in quite awhile.

JJ… Beautiful stick work… Boom

Nice shot pattern this period… Where has this been all season?

They aren’t making the playoffs
Hahaha… You’re right @Mango… They aren’t making the playoffs… (My attempt at dark humor failed miserably!)... Maybe we get an entertaining finish to the season.

And if they go on a tear and manage to win games but fail again to make the playoffs… it would only prove they like to play with their backs against the wall… and it is time to face the wall collectively… and move to the nearest corner for the next four months.

The Benson cameo was hilarious.

Add height? You going to have them put him on the rack?
You’re right… Just read about growth plates closing by age 18…

Love this kid… Puck hound… Always seems to be around it… Fearless at the crease… Still growing… Needs to add a couple inches in height and 25-30 lbs of upper body muscle… Expect him to return next year with a better shot.

Can’t keep everyone. It comes down to who is the right player. Byram or Power?
Don’t omit Samuelson from the trade conversation. He appears to be injury prone.
Dahlin will be here, but think he needs to believe he will experience the playoffs next year and be in the annual Norris conversation while playing in Buffalo. Otherwise, he could acquire an Eicheltude simply based on the sheer losing he has experienced after five years here. His no trade clause doesn’t kick in until the ‘25-‘26 season. If he requested a trade, believe Adams would oblige reluctantly.

Power with the right coach will be just fine. He’s a child. He needs time.
Respect your opinion @rickshaw but disagree… A coach can develop Power’s hockey IQ and position skills… Time can’t fix Power’s basic personality… Power avoids confrontation especially when confrontation is called for… ie in setting the tone early with a big hit or defending a teammate. He lacks the in-your-face gene of a top NHL D… Can’t train it… His strengths can be replaced. Trade him now for high value. Get pieces with grit and playoff experience we need.

As for Byram I’m not so sure he will bolt so soon but it could mean Power is moved for other pieces.
I would trade or package Power in a skinny minute while he still has people fooled and retains high value.

I feel sorry for Cozens. You know he cares. He just has no idea what to say. No vet leadership to show the way and take the bullets from the media.
Tuch is the best vet presence they can offer… and he is an overrated vet on every dimension, imo.

Anger?… Gloves on dancing is anger?… Stop it.

Tired of Cozen’s excuses… Stop asking players stupid questions, Hamilton.

Tired of Tuch’s excuses… Got a lot of balls doing this interview.
RFA, Ukko Pekka Luukkonen - what would you sign him for?

He’s a RFA… Offer him $6-7M for 3 years… If UPL decides to negotiate an offer sheet with another team, match it so we don’t lose our investment in him… The market will decide.
