    It was a consideration of mine until I saw Nilsson have a great game against Carolina the other night, then look like an amateur in the shootout. Both these guys suck in shootouts. Could be because they are so big (which Murray loves) that they are too slow to move side to side while getting deked. Something Timmah most likely didn't think about.

    I have a new idea to eliminate shootouts. SOG determines the winner. If the game is tied after 60 mins, play the regular 5 min 3 on 3 OT. If still tied, then the team with the most SOG gets the two pts. No loser point for getting to OT. Maybe teams will start shooting more.

    Unfortunately he is clueless at shootouts as well. He was brutal against Carolina.

    Maybe the Sabres could avoid shootouts more often if they knew how to start a game. They come out flat night after night and have to play catch up every night. How bout scoring the first goal or two for once???

    Nice job Murray.....1st rd pick for a POS goalie and no plan for a backup. Go the these guys should be in the AHL. Sabres are a playoff team with top goalie.

    Should be a warm welcome for the Rags #26. I just hope Nilsson looks better than he did on Tuesday. At least he knows ahead of time he's the guy.

    I've been a huge Foligno fan, even have his jersey. Although he may not light up the scoreboard, the dude gives 100% every shift and as you stated, he is a monster along the boards. One of the hardest workers on the team next to Gio and ROR.

    After winning two in a row, and after tonight's loss, I expect a nice 4-5 game losing streak. The only hope they have Friday is if the Caps all get Turkey poisoning.

    Lehner taking credit for being lousy in shootouts. But also says He does great in practice in shootout drills. Well Robin, maybe you do well in practice because your teammates suck at shootouts as well. I could make saves on most of these Sabres players. But he is right about the team hitting posts, they just can't find the open net.

    I'm starting to think the only thing this team practices on is passing and nothing else. They can never finish a play, they can never pick a corner when having a clear shot, the shots always seem to hit the goalie without him having to move, and these guys are all terrible on breakaways. Very frustrating.

    Was.just gonna say does Franson get a bonus for shooting the puck into the defender so many times in a season? At least Zhitnik got his shots through, albeit never on net.
