I think Canadians are starting to get a little nervous at how far the US has come in terms of hockey talent. I think Canada will always produce the big time superstars, but the US is closing the gap as more young kids are playing hockey down here. Who ever woulda thought a kid from the Arizona desert would become a number 1 pick for the Toronto Maple Leafs?

This means absolutely nothing. How many successful QBs come from Florida St and Alabama?
-
He's only a freshman, that stuff can be fine tuned. He doesn't have the best throwing motion, but it works for him right now. He would have to tweak a few things for the next level. I just hope the Bills bring in a new QB coach before they go after a franchise guy. Lee is terrible.
-
That's fine with me if they tank away. If they can somehow get next years #1 pick and take Sam Darnold, I'll sit through another losing season no problem. It's not like we're used to winning. Of course knowing the Bills, they will get that #1 pick and Darnold will decide to stay at USC for his junior year.

You need some new friends, most of my friends don't know what Sabrespace is, but they were watching the WJC game last night. Of course many of them have either played or still play hockey.

Maybe south of the Mason-Dixon line it won't be much of a story, but it won't be buried in any papers from the upper Midwest, Great Lakes or Northeast regions. And they just said on NHL Network that the number one story trending in the United States right now is the gold medal won by team USA in the 2017 WJC. But your right, no one here cares. Nice reach there.

Bylsma still has no clue how to utilize his players in OT. -
Yeah, that's why Russia won gold in Buffalo in 2011. It's different when it's played in Canada. Do you think any of these players give a what the Canadian papers have to say about anything? They weren't playing for Canada.
-
Boy, that silver medal goes real nice with red and black. Everyone in Canada is crapping themselves because USA hockey is slowly closing the gap.
-
Exactly. Place went dead silent.

What a blast by the Jackal -
So did I. Just heard them say the score during the Sabres game. I thought I heard them wrong.
-
There was no way in hell they were gonna give USA the gold in Canada. That just can't happen. It's the only time Canada can be the champs because none of their NHL teams are capable.

So if McCabe plays, does that mean Gorges goes in for Fedun? I really hope not. Nilsson better be between the pipes tonight. If Lehner and Gorges are in the lineup, then DB is more goofy than I originally thought. Would love to see if the Sabres can go on on somewhat of a little run here. -
WOW....after being behind three times in the shootout, the US wins it in round 7
-
Shootout time. All I can say is thank God Lehner isn't in net. So far looks like a Sabres shootout.
-
Ugh....going to OT. 10 min sudden death. If still tied they will go to a 5 round shootout.
-
Balls......USA gets stopped on a penalty shot, 30 seconds later Russia scores. 3-3 with 13 minutes left
