JBot said Terry is aware of the teams needs and the strategy. They communicate. He said this when he implied he will not overpay and reach to get players. He prefers to devolop our own, which takes time.

Look at the roster. On a good night we are better than Montreal and Carolina
Can we beat any of them in a 7 game series? I’m not sure we can. Heck, not sure we can beat Florida and Detroit in a series Mental and physical toughness.
We are a work in progress. Still hanging on to the 8th spot for now.

Carolina has been the better team. Faster, more hits, tenacious play ... yes they had some major puck luck but they have slowed us down and kept us frustrated.

Did you hear Marty’s explanation on why Larry and Faulk did not get 5 minute fighting penalties?
If true, to prevent Faulk from missing 17 minutes, then no wonder the NHL is so screwed.

Not so sure about many better options. Skinner must realize that a good part of his goal scoring opportunities come from playing with Eichel.
So Buffalo provides these benefits:
1. Eichel, plus solid NHL players like Rienhart and Risto that are already signed.
2. Real hockey town with fans who voted him into the all star game despite the smaller market size (he knows this and likes it)
3. youth coming up and gain NHL experience in Mitts, Tage, Dahlin, Pilut, and Uhlmark - plus maybe some NHL talent in Nylander and Guhle and the Finn Goalie
4. JBOT - gaining respect around the league, very smart guy, and I think he knows how to communicate the plan to Skinner
5. Pegulas - ? well, uhmmm, uh - they are generous and kind people and Kim is the prettiest owner in league.
6. Close to his hometown and family.
