  1. Our lineup is yuck. I was getting used to Tuch and Krebs, now I have Janker and MacGinnis
  2. Hello Teammates, Punch checking in. I saw Boogie man complaining, looks like I missed a scrap to start the game. Mangle Westcoastteams
  3. He played for the Sabres for part of the first season.
  4. 63 does not feel old to me, but everyday I fall further behind the pop culture and cool kids. So be it. Just stay the hell off of my lawn. I planted the latest fungus resistant fescue you know The internet cancels the double space. Too funny.
  5. Cliff Schmautz. Not as good as brother Bobby.
  6. What? What is wrong with a double space after a period?
  7. I just want to watch hockey. Feels like I lost track of who is on the roster?? Another strange season in Sabreland
  8. Don’t know what people think. ? It makes sense to me that you look at everything. There is no substitute to seeing the player, talking to him, learning how he fits or doesn’t. On the mid to late rounds I might more heavily weight the analytics input. It will take a few drafts and several more years to see if this department is paying off. I would think they would even track the development of players they liked but didn’t select, just to help refine the process and modeling. Pegula’s need to stick with this management team and not make another FO change.
  9. Dara analysis and analytics is another tool. It is another input to the decision maker, in this case Adams. It still comes down to the final decisions made by the GM. He can select a player based on inputs from his scouts, scouting agencies, talking to coaches, his own eye test, and now a data analytics department. He might benefit greatly from looking at a combination of all of it.
  10. That’s our Scotty. We had Francois Lacombe, not be confused with Normand Lacombe , or Lendme Yourcomb
  11. Didn’t see Hudson score in his first game, and then never again ?
  12. Lou Franceschetti has a nice Italian name
  13. Let’s not forget Norman “Rocky” Farr
  14. I once heard Chris Berman cover Sabres highlights and loudly proclaim “The Zhitnik is starting to Smehlik”!
  15. He really didn’t throw bad. Most of his passes were right on target. Several passes in the first half were dropped. Maybe he had too much on them? The first interception was tipped and picked in the end zone, that was all on Josh for trying to do too much. He had 3 points in the bag, which would have given us a 15 point lead. He still needs to learn to take what’s there. The next pick was a tipped ball and a very fortunate INT for Atlanta. Again, maybe he doesn’t make the throw but the Atlanta’ players made two excellent and highly athletic plays to tip it and get to the ball for the puck Bad luck for us On the third INT Beasley was obstructed from his route 9 years past the LOS. That was a penalty not called. Josh put the ball exactly where Beasley should have been. After that Josh lead them on a long and time consuming 80 yard TD, passing only once and hitting on a key first down. He ran like a maniac and finally the run game came together with Singletary. Allen then lead them in another long, time consuming drive to seal the game. His leadership was obvious. There is more to playing the position than passing stats. Allen may never be a passing leader playing so many games in Buffalo. Beane really needs to make the offense more diverse by bringing in a bigger and faster running back, a true blocking TE, and better more athletic guards to move people in the middle. Give Josh this support and he won’t have to do it all every week.
  16. Mine is his choking on a 28-3 halftime lead to lose the Super Bowl. Of course his coach and the rest share in that.
  17. Don’t be fooled by QBR stats. JA was not terrible. We was a a quarterback yesterday. He won with leadership and by running. He willed that team to two long TD drives in the second half. He is a great player and they would not have won without him.
  18. UPL - I like when he stays up and uses his glove. Gloves don’t put out rebounds. He is doing better than I thought given his AHL stats.
  19. Murray has passed Cagguila, Bjork, Eakin, Hayden and Janker. He still has to work on his game, bring intensity to go with his size, but he has surpassed the JAG quintet listed above.
  20. Then add Mitts and Cozens. That’s it for top 6 VO, Asplund, Okposo, Girgs, Murray are middle to bottom 6 Quinn, Krebs and Peterka are critical pieces for next year.
  21. He didn’t take any one timers. Even with 5 on 3 and plenty of opportunities. Don’t know why?
