    I’m not excited about the trade deadline. I have no desire to see Adams trade the few desirable veteran pieces like Greenway or Zucker for futures. Then try and fail to replace them in the offseason.

    Yes, all near term finances. Basically to cover the cost commitments that he knows he has.

    We got the better player in the Mitts trade but he didn’t improve the team and our center spline got worse. Winning trades can mean little.

    This team is just a few solid vet moves away from not sucking. That is if they don’t loose Greenway and Zucker. Otherwise add more to replace them.

    I remember when the Sabres were practically unbeatable at home. Hot dogs were 30 cents, and a small Pepsi was 20 cents. You could buy a Hockey News for 50 cents. That was my best utilization of one dollar.
