So other than the fact our young guys get a year older and a couple of meh signings, have we gotten any better? Have we bridged the gap between us Boston, Florida, Tampa & Toronto? Detroit has improved their roster and haven’t heard much from Montreal and Ottawa.

Yep... I don't see us catching anyone above us in the overall standings. 5 home games left and all likely are losses. 3 of our road games are against teams below us and those are definitely not guaranteed wins with the way this team is playing. Could very, very easily get passed by Detroit, St.Louis and Vancouver. Quite possibly extend that to Philly and Arizona. We may be looking at a top 6 or 7 pick. Really sucks that we even have to talk about this but that what comes with yet another disaster of a season with this organization.

Yes, they'll be older, but the same bad habits will linger within the current "system", whatever that may be. That also is under the assumption that all of the other teams around us regress, which is highly unlikely. Aren't many goaltenders out there that could've succeeded under this "system" and the schmucks we have on the blueline.
