Swamp, you can make excuses for his continued bad play. He has the absolute worst plus/minus in the league and is the lowest ranked Dman. Perhaps confidence is a factor but Kruegers “system” has nothing to do with his inability to stop players from scoring. It’s his primary function on the ice. Defend the goal. It’s depressing the shite out of me.

How did Ralph Svengali Terry into a contract worth 55% more than Torts? And Tippett who was a finalist for the job in Buffalo gets $1.15m less in EDM? In hindsight it looks far worse, but even before the disastrous results of this season it seems Terry got hoodwinked and flimflammed, again.

1.) If this is life and not a dream itself, which will be forgotten when we wake. Hoping for this.
2.) No comment. Eleven had the perfect response.1.b) An off-season that changes the composition and strategic direction of the team is needed. I can get behind any kind of trade because the team, in its make up is inherently weak. Change the core, and strengthen the mind and body of the Sabre player and I can get behind another season. Even if short of excellence. Without, and just a small tweaking then I’m not sure I can continue the ride.
2.b) Betting on not leaving. Could we not experience both devastation and joy at the same time? Conspiracy much? I might recommend a nice Indica blend to reduce anxiety and paranoia. Maybe Ice Cream Cake or Legend OG. -

Patrick Marleau garnered a conditional second last year, that yielded a third. Much older, and less productive. Kovalchuk to the Caps resulted in a third. I think a third is the absolute floor. Should be interesting to see if Kevy gets “Scandellad”.

Watching the Rangers/Bruins game this morning and the Rangers broadcast crew reminded viewers the Bruins have not played the Sabres once. So if there was a thought about them not being top four in the division, you must consider they will probably win all eight games. Stings, just a little bit.

Sheary and Vesey have tallied more goals but PPG Sheary is flat and Vesey is down compared to last year. And Vesey’s conversion of goals this year is twice what is was in Buffalo last season. (Luck?) I have watched the Leafs play about 7 or 8 times this year and I feel the same way about the player today as I did last year. Still happy he is not a Sabre. As noted, playing with Spezza on a 4th line can definitely help those scoring statistics.
And what about Larsson and Rodrigues? Neither having good seasons with Arizona and Pittsburg respectively. Both Goals per game and PPG are less with their new clubs vs. last year in Buffalo. In fact I was surprised to see Evans ATOI. Seems not worthy of it.

I just can’t imagine allowing Adams (alone) to make a decision on the fate of the franchise this summer. This downward spiral has only solidified Jack’s request to be moved this summer. Terry may trust Adams to handle trade deadline moves but not the kind of overhaul this summer has in store. I find it more likely than ever that someone with more experience is inserted soon. If Adam’s replaces RK with an experienced head coach and coughs up another $3.9m * 3 years, I will admit to being dead wrong. But if there is an interim solution then I think TP has acknowledged the shortcomings of the current management team and will hire someone above KA to provide direction.

Good point. In addition, if the Sabres are going through another re-org, I cannot see T Pegs giving a three year contract to an established HC this year only to see a PoHO change gears this summer.
