Bad goal. Got to save that. -
AR is miles ahead of anyone in our building as far as offensive philosophy. Same with Cincy. McDermott has had 6 years and still has not build an o line/run game.
-
Beane seemed like a genius up until now. Maybe because it was so bad for 20 years. Now we see the drafting has been bad the past few years. Not properly addressing the O line and getting another elite WR when we had the chance dooms this team for now, good but not great. It’s undeniable we are light years behind Cincy. Now in cap hell there is little we can do but accept, without a miracle, this teams high water mark has passed.
-
This team as constructed will be good but will not sniff the SB. Its highwater mark was the playoffs last year. We probably will not see JA at that level again without a proper offensive guru. He is regressing and regressing quickly.
-
McDermott might be Shottenheimer 2.0. Great guy, awesome culture, solid teams, and winning regular seasons but got worked in the playoffs.
-
It potentially could get ugly next year for the fan base.
-
Wow. Running it all back? When Miami wins the division and we are out in the wildcard round next year it may be too late. Wasted much of JA prime with no forward thinking.
-
I can see no other way but that we need a mini rebuild. Too many holes. What I am sure of is that we no longer are a top contender. Cincy set the bar and it is not even remotely close. There will be no more hype (which in a way is good) and no more SB talk next year. In fact, Miami may be the favorite to win the division next year (I think McDaniels outcoached McDermott all 3 meetings). JA needs a new scheme before he has to retire at 32. Also (in this scheme) he is probably no longer a top 5 QB going into next year although his ceiling is still high (the MVP talk is now a distant memory). But what scares me is he refuses to scan the field like Burrow or Mahomes. It's bombs away or bust (throwing 40 yards on 3 and 2?... yikes). Lots of questions this offseason. A million issues we have now. We will probably be a lesser team next year. Can Beane fix it? His past 3 drafts have not been good. Get a real line and more weapons. Need a real NFL running game. I would love to see Reich in here.
-
That was a coaching mismatch. We have no chance until we get an offensive minded coach who understands the nuisances of the modern offense. 5 years in still no o line. Andy Reid fixed it in one off-season. No offensive identity. Zach Taylor got his team to the SB in year 2 of Burrow. SF turned the last pick into a proficient enough qb to take them to the championship game. There is no reason a gifted offensive mind could not turn Josh into a machine. Instead he’s going to be a wreck by year 7.
-
The early 90's Bills were still significantly better than this team. Even as much of a freak as JA is, those teams were special.
-
Next year will be a down year. Too many needs. I am also starting to see a pattern in Beane's drafting. It has actually not been good outside of his first one and the JA pick. Now we are in salary cap hell.
-
They will roll out the same staff next year and the same thing will happen.
-
Cincy is likely winning the SB. That is a juggernaut.
-
It’s been over since the first quarter.
-
Soul crushing loss. This team has eclipsed under the current staff. Without major bold changes we are wasting JA prime from this moment forward. Lots of major decisions need to be made. One thing I’m certain this staff won’t cut it.
-
Cowherd was spot on the whole time. mediocre o line no offense identity an archaic defense minded coach JA carries the team
-
Call Payton before he signs with Denver.
-
We are lucky it’s not a blow out yet. Almost total domination on both sides of the ball. Hopefully the coaches come up with something.
-
So far Zack Taylor and his staff is light years ahead of ours.

I have a bit different view. The mid to late 70’s, despite all that talent only made one true cup run. The 80’s were the infamous one and done years. The 90’s were probably the best based on having one of the greatest net minder’s of all time but failed because we didn’t build enough offensive depth. The 2000’s we had two great years and management’s ineptitude destroyed the team as fast as they made it. And since it’s been an unmitigated disaster with no true end in sight. -
Are the Sabres out of the running for the playoffs?
