There are some pieces that make this roster better than 15. But it is hard to see a scenario where we don't finish last again. Probably for the next two seasons. We are tanking again, but not deliberately like 15, it is just naturally a result of historical ineptitude. How else are we not going to be terrible the next year or two? There is literally no alternative now. What a disaster. Probably the biggest train wreck in modern history and by a mile. But.... like it or not, the next two drafts are loaded....so.... we only need to land one of the top 3 next year to have a new franchise piece going forward. There literally is no alternative this time unless Granato works an absolute miracle. So .... time to watch prospects all year because it will be much more interesting that what we are about to endure the next two seasons.

We need a top prospect(s) and picks. Bottom line. I dont mind Adams holding the line.

It is appalling we lost Sam because management is that inept. I have no clue how he did not get a long term extension. Terrible organization.

Whether it is by design or not, this is a tank. No question. They are shedding tank 1 core players the same way they cast off the Vets in 2014 to rebuild the culture. Same situation. The top 3 or 4 next years draft and the year after are crazy good prospects. I would assume we will be in position to get two of them.

This feels like we are going into the season we tanked for Sam. Hope I am wrong. That would mean easily 3 to 4 years before we are competitive. Remember this year we could own the longest playoff drought on record. That is hockey hell for sure.

None of the other kids are ready to come up We need to resign McCabe and a FA desperately for D and resign Ullmark and FA??? (None of the kid goalies are ready) SCARY!

KA needs to pull off a miracle for this team not to be AHL level next year.

The magnitude of the ineptitude of the franchise over the past 15 years has been monumental. It started with not resigning Drury and Briere and continued to get worse and worse. This will culminate, and deservingly so, into the longest drought of all time. You could do a case study on everything not to do. I also am convinced this message board could of done better. This is all on TP now.

If we trade Jack it’s imperative that a young center must be included.
