  1. I didn't mention rest? Teams coming off west coast swings are likely to have a let down. Combined with the Sabres having 3 days to prepare is a formula for a big Sabres win.
  2. Not at all. This is the same situation they found themselves in early last season which led to their great start. They went all of November having Monday through Wednesday off. They are also facing a team coming off a decent road trip. I would expect this team to win 5-1 or 6-1 tonight. I also expect some posters to try and sell this team for what they are not by pointing to their suddenly bloated offensive numbers. I've seen it for 3 plus years now, I know when it's coming.
  3. 3-0? The Sabres love having 3 days off and facing a team coming off a west coast swing.
  4. You think he would be heard over Cotton-Eyed Joe and the strip club DJ?
  5. I would say pimento loaf if far more of a angering lunch meat that bologna. My top Six lunch meats : Prosciutto - Roast Beef - Genoa Salami Turkey - Ham - Capicola My top four cheeses : X-Sharp Cheddar - Swiss Lorraine Colby - Pepper Jack Starting Bread : Fresh Vienna Bread This is far more interesting than talking about the Sabres. Maybe Russer's will follow Perry's and develop a lunch meat for the Sabres. Who wouldn't want to order a pound of Pu$$y Loaf?
  6. Considering what happened last time? Would Chicago really want to open a big lead?
  7. Far easier said than done. How have the Sabres fared over the years ignoring players like Chris Neil? Not to well. The Sens have owned Sabres and part of it is Chris Neil hammering the softer Sabre d-men and forwards.
  8. That has seemed to leave his game. I was as critical of the 'Kaleta Turtle' as anyone could be. His physical game seems to be maturing. My no means is he a Matt Barnaby. Hitting a guy, dropping the gloves and laughing through the entire fight. He does have a significant place on this team though. A few word about McCormick, he is a dime a dozen player. On a team that usually refuses to pay that dime I am glad he is on the team. Here he is on the fourth line, should probably be higher considering how the other forwards have played, doing a nice job on the physical aspect of the game.
  9. A hard hitting team can easily destroy the timing of a softer team. If you don't think having a Kaleta or a Chris Neil on the ice isn't forcing the opposing team to hurry the play than you need to pay closer attention. The reason the hits may look like they are late to you is because the player about to receive the hit got rid of the puck as quickly as they could. Most turnovers at the blue line or the neutral zone are caused by a player rushing because they are about to get hit.
  10. It means more than you think. It gives the Sabres at least one player other teams have to look over their shoulders for. I think the Sabres should be trying to clone Kaleta's ballz and attach the cloned ballz to Gaustad and Stafford. You want to talk about "means nothing", Stafford and Gaustad might as well be 5' 7".
  11. The team overall has looked pathetic, I think Kaleta has been one of the bright spots. He looks as if he has a pulse. Right now I would consider him part of the actual "core" of the team not the "core" the Sabres pretend to have. Miller, Myers and Kaleta. Everyone else could be traded tomorrow and I wouldn't care. Roy is of to a nice start, I want to she him sustain it for the year before I consider him part of the "core" of the team.
  12. That is very true. This team carries none of the qualities Buffalo sports fans are drawn to.
  13. I can't think of a better team builder than an all out brawl against the Hawks tonight. From Gerbe to Myers this team has to be ready to get a little nasty. Put Lalime in to protect Miller and run every Hawk star. I don't care if the Sabres lose 10-0 and give up 10 power play goals on 20 chances. There is a bigger picture at stake tonight. There is a challenge in front of the Sabres. If they hide from that challenge or try to excuse their way out it? It is going to leave a bitter taste with the fans.
  14. I wouldn't call your team "lousy." You seem to be strong at Center. Your bench looks pretty strong as well.
  15. Should Lebron James, who has been a media darling and made millions and millions of dollars, be taken seriously when he claims racism because of the bad press he is getting? This just goes to show that James and his advisers are clueless.
  16. I could cut Thomas at $5 mil to help get under.
  17. Not only do I have a team that I think could easily win the actual NE Division (not fantasy) it comes in at the bargain basement price of $67.53 mil. Not bad for a fantasy team.
  18. The man loves Tim Connolly. I get a 50 goal scorer I can play at either wing. The production and versatility was too much to pass up. I also upgraded at center getting Vermette.
  19. Actually I would trade Connolly in a heart beat. It was Gagne and Green I had no interesting in parting with.
  20. I really liked my draft and I'm not looking to make changes at this point unless it is a overwhelming offer.
