  1. Administrators, not trying to cause something here. Roughly how many members left after the politics thread was shut down? I rarely took part in that. Did read a good bit of it though. Majority of the time I felt the debates were mature and under control. Occasionally things would get out of hand, but honestly, how many threads have never had some type of argument? I support brining it back. Quite sure it won't. But what if brining it back caused those who left to return to this message board?
  2. Wireless controllers and top notch headsets. The sound is incredible. It's very difficult for me to play games w/out a headset on. And before we know it it'll be virtual reality. The Playstation VR, when a game is developed properly for it, is supposed to be incredible. Many refuse to play RE 7 with it. And the refusal is a good thing. For they choose not to because it's too scary and feels far too real.
  3. Saves serious money! Has there ever been a game you wanted, but later found out it's current selling price was $100 or higher? Games like that are few and far between. But it happens. In fact I have a few games that are worth a few hundred. I'll never pay that much for a game. Just cool when you find out years after you bought a game it has a lot of value. Kind of like collecting baseball or hockey cards.
  4. If EA returns to Nintendo, many people I'm sure will return to as well. Let's face it. Sports gaming is very popular. W/ Nintendo lacking it people have opted to not buy Nintendo consoles. So come on EA. Bring NHL and Madden back to Nintendo. NHL is the sports game I have to have every year. Madden not so much. Maybe once every 4 years or so.
  5. Movie I'm looking forward to the most this summer.
  6. Always making family consoles is one of the many reasons I continue to be a big fan of Nintendo. Can't get burned out on their 1st party titles. Anything Mario or Zelda is beyond great. Wish Nintendo would return to Metroid. Loved the NES, SNES and Gamecube Metroid games. Have a PS4 but there's not enough games for kids under 10. Have a few games I will not play in front of them due to profanity, mature content, etc....
  7. That'd be in my top 5 as well. This is what got me into Disturbed.
  8. lol So glad my kids are into video games Great stuff  Gives me an idea. Maybe I'll do the same. Get a Switch now and keep it in my room. I'll get to enjoy it for months. At Christmas I'll put it back in the box and act as if it's never been played. My kids will unwrap it Christmas morning and they'll never know we've had it since May. Of course I'm kidding on that. It'll be a lot of fun having the same, if not more, amount of excitement for the Switch as my kids!
  9. So can't wait to play that. Waiting until Christmas to pick up a Switch for my kids. Can time go by any slower? Just can't wait for BOTW time!
  10. Shows how much I've been following this years playoffs. Conference Finals match ups aren't what I was pulling for. Out of the 4 teams remaining I'd have to go w/ Nashville.
  11. A single I'm not hesitant to say I like. Whoomp there it is!!! But let me add I'm basically a rock only guy. There's just something about this song I like.
  12. Alright gamers, what games are you currently playing? I'm about to embark on an adventure in The Witcher 3 on the PS4. Have started it in the past, but got distracted by other great games. Latest was Resident Evil 7. Finished the other night. Incredible game.
  13. Every series has to have a team down 1-0. Nashville has a game to respond. Just don't fall down 2-0.....
  14. Yes, it most certainly was. Wish I could've seen the game live. Played before my time. What helped make Miracle a great movie was the ability to draw the attention of non-hockey fans. I remember watching Miralce w/ countless people who knew next to nothing about the sport. But they reacted w/ a large amount excitement whenever Team USA scored. The makers of the film did a fantastic job. Sought athletes/actors....not actors/athletes.
  15. Come on Nashville. Put the biscuit in the oven!
  16. Got that right. Team USA pulling off arguably the greatest upset of all time makes it to where one should be thankful if they were able to watch it. To my knowledge many were unable to see it due to the channel aloud to show the game deciding to air The Sound of Music.
  17. Rant w/ the Ice Gators? What are you talking about? I'm simply talking about the SPHL. By the way, the Ice Gators, if you're an actual fan of them, are no longer a part of SPHL. Might want to keep up w/ teams you support.
  18. So you're only going to use the top players pay as a figure? Have to look at the average, man. Using the highest paid in the SPHL would be like only looking at the highest paid citizens in the U.S.A. Most of us are not making multimillion dollars a year. And what does supporting a family have to do w/ the quality of hockey being watched in the SPHL?
  19. Are you serious? A 1/2 year salary of $14k is not horrible? Many of the players are post collegiate. Having a job at or close to minimum wage in the other 1/2 of the year is terrible. These are not kids. They are grownups. It's not a they are still kids and need time to find out what they want to be when they grow up. They are grownups. Let me add $300 a week for 1/2 year = $7,800. It's not $14k.
  20. ha And the constant reminder Darcy most likely kept Vanek due to the loss of Drury and Briere. I agree w/ Randall Flagg. 8x8 is a legit deal. Fair for Eichel and the Sabres. It's a discount in the long run. The talks will be interesting and hopefully short.
  21. At the lowest level possible. It's a beer league full of guys not wanting to give it up. Avg. pay is $300 a week. Semi-pro hockey. Something not to take serious.
  22. I don't think the SPHL has any type of link to the NHL. If so an NHL team does not have the rights to a player.
  23. You're going to miss watching hockey in person. Used to have an ECHL team known as the Mississippi Seawolves on the gulf coast of Mississippi (Biloxi). Not too far from New Orleans. They were fun to watch and actually had a decent fan base. Bruce Boudreaux led the Seawolves to a Kelly Cup in 99'. Good times. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pS2xxQdrK9s And go Nashville. Don't care for Anaheim and obviously strong dislike for Ottawa and Pittsburgh.
  24. uuummmm....dislike Matchbox 20. Could never get into them. Let me add todays music is terrible.
  25. My Grandpa loved Glenn Miller. He listened to Miller's music quite a bit. I actually like a few songs.
