Doubt it. We rarely get to those areas. When we do, we usually scare, too.

We had people on here last night actively defending UPL and how he had no chance on (I think) four of the goals.

I’m not an idiot. Do we need better goaltending (GT)?… um, duh. But bad goaltending is an easy, simplistic excuse for why the tide shifted in the last 4 minutes of that game.

Ah,yes that's what I was saying when I said penalty kill and goaltending. In this specific case (last 5 minutes of regulation) it was our low ranked penalty kill that was the culprit. Suppose one could say bad penalties. Nevertheless physicality was not our problem. But I'm not defending our goaltending either.

The injuries are at the point of being devastating.  I personally dislike the whole casual "next man up/no excuses" mantra.  There are 4-5 guys you cannot lose or it drastically effects the team (QB, LT, WR1, DE1, CB1).  The Chiefs without Mahomes are not winning the super bowl for instance.  Or losing Tre may have cost us the KC game. Injuries matter.  Losing your game changing pass rusher and pro bowl level safety has massive implications especially playoff time. Hopefully a healthy groot can step up.  Going to be tough.

Well, of  course they're going to say next man up. What else do they say? This is devastating?

Not different at all. Missed on all draft picks. Worthless hires of clueless first time GM's. Dumb hires of 1st time head coaches or washed up re-treads. Not bring in a worthwhile goalie. Terry needs to sell the team. He has not one ***** clue. The Sabres have ruined my love for hockey. I have more fun going to a 1,200 seat RIT home game. Such a great atmosphere.

Didn't miss on all the draft picks. Agree with rest of post but the no brainer picks are okay.

I snow blowed five times already.   I may have snow blowed that many times total in the last two seasons.

Our section of Wyoming county town maybe two or three inches. Few miles away another story.

    Nah.

More than a few people were saying the team we saw to end last season was the real them. People were touting their record to end it endlessly. Saying they had established that as a consistent pace at this point. It’s pretty disingenuous to now be like “oh well the majority knew they wouldn’t come close to playing how they finished to end the year”

Quite bogus tbh and an incorrect representation of the optimism of the offseason

“Extremely obvious” we’d be incrementally better? Plenty predicted playoff bubble/the thought we could fight for a spot all year.

To be honest the majority felt team would be improved. Also didn't think this was a playoff team. Team still can accomplish what the majority of us felt when season began. What they can't afford is multiple losing streaks of 5-7 games.

A very good coach. And one who has had many, many kicks at the can (deservedly so). No surprise he can have success again. But he is what he is. A very good coach who's had up and down records since leaving Buffalo. And most importantly precious little playoff success.

True but very good coaches are always in demand. I think,as far as Buffalo was concerned he had been here so long it was time maybe for change. Unfortunately he is better than we've had since.
