  1. I’m not sure what his point is in including Levi, but it looks good on UPL
  2. Every single goalie that moved hands this year was better than Comrie. Every one. Those are your names another: UPL. Adams only had enough “gosh golly gee” confidence in UPL to force him to split starts equally with drastically inferior goalies to start the year. I’m honestly not sure what you are missing here how many ways do you need to be wrong. Seriously, how many concrete ways can you fail to grasp the fact the results were bad? actually, my mistake, you’ve already argued they were good, and backed down from it, and retreated to “well ok I was wrong the results were bad but they couldn’t have been better” yes, there was no way. The goaltending was handled perfectly. You wouldn’t even take my out that we could agree goaltending was managed fine if the priority was development rather than winning lol
  3. “Don’t like the guy the paid professional with all the accompanying resources got? I’d like to see you do better!” ”taking a shot at VO’s 2 way ability? I’d like to see YOU do better!” A truly meaningless argument
  4. Not to mention, the addition by subtraction of merely NOT rostering and playing Comrie this year would have netted us points why isn’t anyone trying to give KA kudos for sticking with Comrie? U gotta look at the totality, here. It’s the only fair way. Ie: the results
  5. Huge gap between what we got from Comrie and Levi to other backups available you are setting the bar too low. You are claiming Adams couldn’t have acquired anything better than non-NHLers. Is your claim there were no NHL worthy goalies available? In either of the last few years?
  6. Is the bit called “being AI”?
  7. I agree. But I’d just add that adding that back up goalie, should it prove necessary (which we need to be sure of before the season starts) is another priority we have room for. I think the things you mentioned, *and* solidifying the net are all important. In today’s NHL almost everyone has two guys that play a lot. The 40% UPL won’t play is a HUGE chunk. Doesn’t become non-prioritizeable because the 60% is addressed
  8. The transition to having expectations is a pathway to many realizations some Sabres fans would consider to be….unnatural How confident are you Levi is ready to be a day one, playoff worthy backup goalie to the tune of 30-35 games next season? Actually asking
  9. And full credit to UPL I can agree if those are your terms: if the “entire point” was to develop, if development was the priority for the season, yes: by way of Adams internal barometers for success, he should then get credit I guess that’s my main point and central to my very argument: it wasn’t supposed to be a development year. Both can be true: - the results of goaltending overall have not been good - but the season did produce a good goaltender (hopefully) it’ll just come down to how you define success Reasonable?
  10. Was he ok? I didn’t see
  11. This seems right
  12. No, you just aren’t grasping the obvious Was Adams’ job to provide good goaltending for this season? Or was Adams’ job to, at some point, roster a good goalie this season? It’s an 82 game season, the goal was to provide the roster with good GT for our season. The goaltending was *below average*, statistically, for the first half of the season. Two goalies that don’t belong in the NHL have played *half* the games. Why would this deserve credit? Did he handle the position WELL? Do you think the 3 headed goalie monster worked? Did it provide adequate results? I already said: if the goaltending is good next year, Adams gets credit for good goaltending. Pretty simple
  13. Well done. but did you bet
  14. I was going to ask the same thing. Their switch has completely flipped why? (i haven’t really kept up with the league at large)
  15. What are you talking about? UPL gets full credit full stop if you can’t understand why Kevyn Adams doesn’t get credit for the goaltending this season, im literally not writing it all out again. It’s obvious.
  16. Oh of course not. I just meant it as proof of correlation not being causation that’s all
  17. Have you seen our record with Bryson in the lineup this year? He’s the NEW Mule I actually think we’re undefeated
  18. I mean, ya. The output of the goaltending was poor to below average for the first half of the season. I didn’t create the stats
  19. Cozens very promising of late
  20. I think someone already said it, but it’s not that it’s indicative of a meaningful run, doesn’t look like there’s sufficient runway for that, realistically: but it could be indicative of some hope for runs like that in the future - - - i wish nothing more than for this team to have the Runs in the future
  21. Only enough to include him in a hedged bet with an un-ready Levi and un-fit to be an NHLer Comrie to the tune of literally half our games this season having been started by the latter 2, and poor goaltending results overall until ~ half way through the season, thereby significantly contributing to a slow start we were measuring by way of results this season, remember. If UPL is good next year, and the backup looks reasonable, and we make the playoffs, I’ll give Adams credit for sticking with UPL. And I mean that literally: he will in fact be due credit for sticking with him. It’s just not appropriate rn imo
  22. Besides being intentionally hyperbolic, so as to really give this franchise a challenge in trying to live up to it, im not really saying they won’t/aren’t spending. My point was that the performance of their cap setup on paper is more important than its performance on the ice. It doesn’t need to be cheap, it just needs to look like value. That’s a big difference. It’s also how KA makes trades I merely present the real-time reaction to those deals as evidence. The reaction to those big contracts, in large majority, wasn’t about the contracts being expensive, and that the players had a lot to live up to. Nope. They were praised for their value. They were heralded upon signing.
