To be fair I'd welcome McCabe back if Bryson was included in the deal going back. He's a younger "Pysyk type" defensemen who I see being worked out of the line up sooner than later.

It's interesting, but I'm not that interested in trading Peterka, he has the tenacious puck hounding that we need on this team. Again, of the top 3 lines, the players I'm okay moving are 1: Casey Mittelstadt. In the right sitting, I would consider Olofsson, I suppose, but it would take a strong offer. He's improved A LOT this year away from the puck, and you see his dedication to improving. He's a team guy.

It just really depends on what they're looking for. To be honest. I think Meier is a hell of a player, but is he a huge need. Not necessarily. Then there's the lack of long term years. So it's a we'll see.

Aside from the last 3 minutes, this was one of the more dominant games from start to start. I loved their bulldog mentality on the puck. Sucks that Samuelsson was dinged up. I think Clague is a very serviceable defensemen. The Thompson goal was filthy, and you can just see Power starting to gain confidence. So much fun!

Jesus....that was brutal to watch, ty Cozens for bailing this team out. Plenty to learn from this.

Very well said! He did a lot of little things. Yes, he hasn't been on the score sheet much in the last 5 games, but he's done just about everything you can ask otherwise. Sometimes you just go with what is provided, and tonight that was drawing in to leave Power there for the shot. He played a hell of a game. Having Olofsson already up to his near career high, having nearly 5 players over 20 goals, already is a god send. Dahlin is going to hit 20 this year. It's just been such a revitalizing force for this market. Just keep pushing boys!

And you consider how young this team is right now. So that's an impressive stat, I'm all in, I might not want to gut the roster for a Chychrun trade, but I am definitely on the improve the defense front.

Isn't crazy how much fun you can have, when you have a development minded coach, who lets his players go out and figure it out. Granato is the first coach since Lindy left where you're just thankful. In addition, the speed, and the skill. When you have a player like Krebs on the fourth line, and he's now cemented his place, in the line up, you just know things are coming. The defense is slowly working it's way out. I'd still look to upgrade Bryson and potentially Joker, but for now it's "okay".

Truly our best defense is our offense at the moment. That was such a great passing play.

The best player on the team is Rasmus Dahlin, by leaps and bounds. His ability to lead the break, to settle things down and to create, distribute and defend all are elite. Yes he still has some lapses, but everyone does.

If Demko is a realistic acquisition, that's the area for me. However, letting UPL play is also fine by me.

Giant bag of meh, is he talented, sure. However, his injury risk and concern's are there and prevalent. I wouldn't touch this one.

Krebs needs to be playing in the upper third of the line up. Albeit at the downgrade to Mittelstadt to me who plays more of a third line checking forward game with the ability to chip in. We definitely do not have a shut down center. I wanted Sturm this offseason so badly, because he would have been worth the 2M dollar check he cashed in SJ.

Casey Mittelstadt. Henri Jokiharju and Anders Bjork to Columbus for Andrew Peeke, Jack Roslovic and a 3rd or 4th. Peeke is a right handed shot defensemen, how similarly to Samuelsson, is a big boy. He's got some skating ability, and limited offensive upside. Roslovic is a player recently healhty scratch recently, still in his mid 20's who can play a bit up and down the line up. For me this is acquiring Peeke, and still getting some value for Joker, who needs to be replaced. I think it's realistic and possibly a fair enough deal .
