I’m still at a loss to hear any plausible explanation as to why the league would want Chicago to win.
They want the big market teams to do well so they boost tv ratings and ad revenues.

With Toronto gone, my last hope is that Edmonton gets eliminated. After that it’s just gravy, but I’d root for Florida to win the Cup.

Yeah baby! Nice play by Gudas to charge the net to tie up the D. Please sign him Kevin.

I’d like to know how ECHL Cincinnati fell apart so bad after having the 2nd best record in the league. They lost to Toledo tonight 9-2 and eliminated 4-0 in the series, outscored 21-7.

I’m afraid Florida is going to need another goal. Toronto is going to play desperate and will inevitably score.
-
I like how Florida gives the Toronto players a little shot after the whistles. Not enough to draw a penalty, just enough to make them think. I’d like to see more of that from the Sabres.

I’m actually rooting for the leafs to make it to a game 7 so the Marlies can’t get any of the leafs players. Is that how it works?
They can only send down players who were on the Marlies roster at the AHL roster deadline.

I have to say that I don't even get this affiliation anymore. Who on this team do we even care about?? I think the NHL should expand the number of players that can be signed in the system by 10, so that more fringe draft picks can be brought in on ELCs and make teams like the Cyclones worth caring about. Maybe if they did and we could start these players in Cincinnati then Brandon Hagel wouldn't be playing for TB Lightning,
They provide depth for Rochester when there are callups or injuries. Most NHL/AHL teams have an affiliation. Players get signed to an AHL contract. Passolt, Pekar, and Houser all came up from Cincy to the Amerks current roster.

FYI: The Amerks ECHL affiliate Cincinnati is down 3-0 in games in the 2nd round vs Toledo.

O’Reilly with the takedown. Looks like the refs were told to let the Leafs play.

Hockey News predicts:
13. Buffalo - Eduard Sale, LW, Kometa Brno: The Sabres have an excellent pipeline rolling and it has already paid dividends - Sale can add to that cohort. He's a natural finisher with great speed and a good frame. I thought he looked sharp at the world juniors with Czechia and while his numbers against men back home weren't huge, he's still young.

I don’t think he’ll get into the lineup unless or until there’s an injury or the Amerks lose. Hard to take a player out when they’re winning.

Our local Fort Worth team, the Panther City Lacrosse Club, made the playoffs for the first time in their second year. The only thing they got out of round one is experience, losing to Calgary 12-9.
Why are they called Panther City? I was wondering what city they played in.

These stupid schedules...like it takes 3 days to fly from Ft. Lauderdale to Toronto...ok I have a feeling that Kallgren will be available for the Marlies starting with game 2.
I was wrong, Amerks start Thursday. 🥴

It would be nice if Samsonov was out for the week and they had to call up Kallgren from the Marlies, which would help the Amerks.

Damn, they’re going to blow it. Going to OT.

One of the refs is former Amerk big Justin Kea. Mad that he couldn’t make it with Buffalo?

Improving the nhl draft lottery
in The Aud Club

They need good teams to draw even in traditional hockey markets. Look at how attendance went down in Buffalo. And the fastest way to improve is with a star player. Of course they then have to surround him with the right teammates.
