I watched TSN's highlights of the game (since I'm usually stuck with a radio feed) and I don't see how that Ottawa's third goal wasn't whistled dead. Oh well. Them's the breaks. At least they answered it right back.

On a sidenote, Darcy Tucker got 1st star in Toronto's game tonight.

I may be going out on a limb here, but I think the Sabres steal at least a point tonight.

On the other hand, Buffalo prices are much cheaper than Toronto prices, so I'm sure many of them come because of the short drive + much better pricing.

Anyone else notice that Buccigross thinks that not only will Philly win their division, but that Buffalo will finish below both the Philly AND the Rangers? Buffalo would have to slip a bit and both the Rangers and Philly would have to get really hot. We're currently 7 points ahead of NY with a game in hand, and 9 points ahead of Philly with 2 games in hand. It's definitely possible that one of them will finish with a better record, but I think Buffalo would have to fall apart for both of them to do so. Link to ESPN article

(To continue recent tradition...) Briere is now at 12 points (4G, 8A) in his last 7 games, including 7 (1G, 6A) in his last three. I'm loving his production!

Oops :blush: Still, it seems he has lost his touch against these teams, no? Also, I'm not complaining about the inactivity, I just found the timing a little amusing. I like the team as it is. Sure, it would have been nice to shore up the defense, but I think we have what it takes regardless.

What an appropriate time for our D to show how weak it can be, hours after trade deadline. On a side note, it seems Miller has lost his touch against teams associated with Team USA, giving up 4 against Atlanta and now 4 against Tampa.

Ugh.
