Well, if you want to cross seasons, a win tonight would give us our 15th straight regular season win. :)

Why stop there? If you're going to look at it that way, you might as well exclude OT wins also. That takes the Maple Laffs out of the picture. In that case, the Sabres still have the best start, just not this season's Sabres.

Well, since I predicted they'd win 10 games in Screamin'Weasel's poll, I'm going to have to predict a win here. 3-2 Buffalo. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it.

Drury has 9 goals in 8 games. Max has 14 points. Vanek is +10.

Vanek (12) now has more points than Briere (11). Amazing.

Here's an interesting coincidence. If we win tonight, we'll tie our best ever winning streak at the start of a season. That streak was done in 75-76. Game 6 of our streak this year, we won 9-1. Game 6 of our streak that year, we won 9-1 (against the Rangers).

4-1 Buffalo. Cocky as it may be, I just don't see us losing to Boston.

Also, two seasons ago we had three straight victories of 8-3, 6-4, and 7-2. Oddly enough, my favorite one was the 6-4 victory where we were down 3-0 against Toronto before coming back.

Not to mention, if you consider 7-4 a blowout, we skated past New York and followed that up with a 9-1 victory.

It's going to be too close for comfort. 4-3 OT Buffalo.

I do not believe so. I am almost always idling in the chat room, including the last two games.

Although no individual player gets credited, the team that wins a shootout is credited with a goal.

The Flyers weren't able to stay with us in Buffalo at all last season, be it in the regular season or the playoffs. Adding that to the fact that their offense has been abysmal so far this season where ours has been clicking at a 4.4 goals per game rate, and you have the makings for a rout. And what better team than to rout the Flyers? Buffalo, 5-0.
