Did we just not get a pick in on time (in the 3rd round)? I see the 70th and 71st listed on NHL.com but not our 69th.

But I agree with the other side. Ruhwedel easily passed both of them on the depth chart already even if they're here.

Sure he could, but an undrafted free agent that played 7 NHL games has a low percant of doing that imo.
What did he show you that screams he could unseat any of the current guys? He was a desperate injury fill in, nothing more.
For the record, this argument is likely irrelevant. Doubt Pardy or Sulzer factor into the discussion at all going forward. They'll probably walk.

Anybody have an update on how Luongo is feeling right now?
He doesn't seem very happy and the feeling is that they may still be forced to move him. Can you imagine them losing BOTH?

On an unrelated note, I'm not completely upset about the Sekera/McBain trade but it kind of seems odd that Buffalo was so close to acquiring #5 & McBain for Sekera & #8, but since that didn't work, they trade the same player to the same team for their same player and #35.
Outside of wanting Regier's head on a plate for this one, I can only think that Darcy regretted not doing the deal in the first and went back to get at least something done?
Yeah it would be nice to see Bailey at 52
I actually think Bailey and Carrier are both better prospects than Hurley.

I'd be ECSTATIC with Hartman at 38.

Outside of McCabe and McNabb the cupboards are full of non-NHL'ers. When these two are ready there will be room.
You can't ignore the fact that our entire d-corps in the NHL is still full of players under 24. Myers, Pysyk and Ruhwedel are still under 24. Weber is 25. It's not like we have aged NHL dmen. Darcy ###### up.

our D sucked last year and we also drafted forwards last year . Not surprising picks.
These picks don't change our defense immediately. We already have a ###### ton of solid defense prospects that we should've been interested in seeing in the coming years.

Wow some of you are ridiculous. Everyone whining we didn't do anything, or that this is anti-climatic should get a grup. We have the #8 pick and #16 pick and are going to get two great prospects. If that isn't fun or exciting to you then you shouldn't be watching the draft.
It is anti-climactic. It's not a statement about our team. It's a statement about the league. All the CRAZY talk about everybody trading and nothing has been done.

My feeling about the draft for us today:
If you are one of those people that support the team in the offseason no matter what they do, then you like it.
If you don't like taking risks, you like it.
