  1. I’m still not trading him if it doesn’t bring back a top-six forward. Well... it kind of has to be made about Mike and the other sources being discussed. For the record, I don’t think Harrington knows a thing but I’m also damn sure White makes ***** up for twitter attention. I’m not convinced Lawton is as well connected as his job would have you believe.
  2. Carter Hutton had more points in February than Tage Thompson did.
  3. I’m not convinced it does. He really doesn’t do a lot of things well. During the Philly came on the penalty kill he had a chance to pass the puck off the boards to himself and clear the zone. Instead he took a terrible angle and passed it off the boards directly to a Philly player who was right there. Then Philly scored.
  4. If JT Miller is the only major piece coming back then it’s a big flop. He’s a solid number three center. I’m not trading Risto for a number three center. Not even if a solid prospect is attached. This I would be all over.
  5. Mark Stone is easily the superior player.
  6. The Sabres are officially as close to the 5th overall pick than they are to the playoffs. This season is over. It’s time to look forward to the offseason and maybe pick a team or two out west to root for.
  7. I’ve perused other teams’ message boards and am very engaged on social media with other fan bases. I can promise you “watching a game from up top” and “sheltered minutes” is extremely rare. I don’t know why this franchise and fans are so obsessed with those concepts. I’m not saying they can’t be a thing but Montour has been in this league for almost 200 games. He doesn’t need to watch from up top or have sheltered minutes to succeed.
  8. I still think it’s a Sabres thing. The Pens had two players literally arrive at the arena during the pregame skate. They ended up walking to the bench moments before the anthem and played. Montour was here well before them. GMJB mentioned he wanted Montour to watch last night from up top which gives me the impression he easily could’ve played and they held him out.
  9. If anyone is wondering Guhle apparently had a strong debut
  10. Can you please do the maintenance during a game instead? I think everyone could use a mental health break.
  11. Well, that was relatively uneventful. GMJB has lots of work ahead in the offseason.
  12. I disagree. They’re in striking distance of the cup and because of that you go for it when you can. They’ve also been able to keep the guys they’re picking up. I wonder if they want Risto.
  13. I am ecstatic with this deal. I might let him enter me I'm so excited.
  14. The two cost almost the exact same but the private school I went to accepted my high school merit scholarships (which covered a ton of tuition) as well as a ton of loans I was able to get for being in New York whereas Maryland wouldn't honor the specific merit scholarship I had and offered a much lesser version of it. And because I did not have any financial support or proper guidance in finding other loan and scholarship options it limited how much more I could get for a move to Maryland. It's good that you're asking these questions. My parent did not get involved. She just asked how the process was going but didn't know how anything about the process and didn't even know to find out more. I highly recommend Maryland even if I never made it there myself. I know only one person that actually spent four years there and they said all of my thoughts on the campus, its people and courses there were pretty spot on. They loved it.
  15. Tampa isn't exactly a perfect fit for what I'd want out of a deal, but they've got a ton of pieces of talks are trending in a direction where Botterill wants to amass several assets. Foote, Cernak, Cirelli, Raddysh all mentioned already. Callahan's contract could easily be involved. JT Miller has been talked about as a trade candidate. If we're tasked with taking on Callahan's contract I'd want to get three of the first four names above.
  16. No, the love for the campus is genuine. It's gorgeous there. I just couldn't afford it being from out-of-state and never made the jump to just move there and live for a bit before resuming college like I wanted to. Poor family life limited things a lot... then I went to a ridiculously expensive private school in-state and put myself in eternal debt anyways.
  17. I was accosted at Maryland (twice). Absolutely love that campus. Couldn’t do it as an out-of-stater, though.
  18. I’d have interest in buying low on Duclair now that he’s in Ottawa. That kid is capable and was off to a really hot start.
  19. Thankfully he came back but he was grabbing his ankle and it was definitely an ankle thing.
  20. So what’s the vibe here? That looks BAD. Doesn’t feel like a situation where there could realistically be a quick return regardless of what it ends up being.
  21. Humans aren’t great at prioritizing methinks
  22. Is any of this worth our time?
