Let's work it into a frenzy if we can. Angry, itself, isn't doing it for me. I need Murray to sign Stafford long term or something so I can go on a real rant.
At this point Stafford won't do it. Sign Meszaros to a long-term contract. That'll do it for me.

I'm not a tanker, but if that's the path, fine. But what's the compelling reason to watch this club this year. Who are we looking at to grow, Girgs and Risto (already know they will be good). Why watch these games besides the fact that it's ingrained in our souls over the years?

"The peculiar situation in which former first round pick Nikita Zadorov finds himself with the Buffalo Sabres could be resolved this week. Or maybe not. Zadorov has played one game this season, Friday against L.A., and the Sabres would like to send him back to the London Knights of the OHL.
The 6-foot-6 blueliner, however, would prefer to join Sergei Fedorov’s CSKA Moscow squad where he can play against men and make a good salary, probably around $400,000 per season. Zadorov actually has to sign a transfer agreement to go back to London even though he has a contract with the Knights, so he theoretically controls his fate. His agent, Rollie Hedges, is trying to find a way to make all parties happy, no easy task."
So it's about money. Z's made about 100k with the Sabres thus far, and is eligible for some perfromance bonuses (not sure what they are). Maybe the Sabres are keeping him on the roster so he can earn NHL dollars to offset the KHL money he is forfeiting. There may be some deal with GMTM and Z's agent to keep him up with the big club for so long, let him earn some cash, and then Z will sign his transfer agreement to go back to the OHL.

Good win today. We've got to remain competitive (regardless of how you feel about the tank). Sure we need better players, but the culture cannot be changed by flipping a switch. We need to teach the young guys to compete every night this year. So next year, and the year after, the talent increases but the culture of competing and winning is already instilled.

Drew Stafford needs to go for both him and us. However, I can't help but like him. He tries and he's never bashed Buffalo or his teammates.

Agree. It continues to amaze me how a guy who built a multi-billion dollar fortune can't seem to put two coherent sentences together in public.
