Zadorov always makes a great first play, but he doesn't always follow it up with a second or third play.
Pysyk is impressive.
It's the first time I've ever seen Armia play. like what I see.
Agree on all 3.
-
Into the early 90's. He was part of those disastrous series against Montreal in 90 and 91, if I remember that right
Yep. I lived those days, too. Hogue wasn't bad, but the bar was very low in those days.

Who?
Played for the Sabres in the late 80's and wore 33. Not the most famous Benoit today, though.
-
How old am I. Every time I see Armia, I have Benoit Hogue flashbacks.
-
I have the Red Wings coverage on. A lot of complimentary things to say about the Sabres' recent run, although they think it won't last. Best line so far was discussion of the CoHo/Kassian trade, a trade that according to Mickey Redmond "both teams equally lost." That was before CoHo set up the second goal (which was a very sweet, high-skill setup).
He may not be the most talented or roughest Dman the Sabres have, but he's the smartest, imo.
Definitely. You can tell he's a guy who sees the game in slower motion than others.
-
Sabres really skating this period. Maybe it's all the youth in the lineup.
-
Ha! Only f$&king Stafford.
It took more effort to miss that tap in than make it. Unbelievable.

Pysyk has not been playing this well in Rochester. I'd like to see a little more before I'm convinced.
I think Pysyk is a player that plays up to the competition, and conversely down to the competition in the AHL.
-
Pysyk should be here right now.
Murray rightfully doesn't want to overload this team with too many kids, but I think he's being stubborn.
Pysyk is clearly better than Weber/Strachan and so much better than Mess and Beano it's ridiculous.
Surprised there's not more trade talk regarding Pysyk being a right handed shot with some potential.
-
Enroth looked tired on the last two.
Not blaming him. He's been great and it shoulda been Neuvirt playing.
Nothing I saw tonight altered my opinion that Pysyk is, right at this moment, the Sabres' fourth best defenceman.
As much as I like the Nikita/Risto combo, Nikita/Pysyk have such a complementary skill set, it's easy to picture them playing together for years.
Agree on both counts.
-
Pysyk should be up full time. He's better than Mess, Weber and Benoit.
-
Just the way Risto planned it.
-
I'm getting used to the Ted Nolan Rope-a-dope coaching philosophy.
-
That was a clunker.
-
Nothing to get excited for in this game.
-
Marcus cant play that small.
-
Gonna need Ennis to do something in the 3rd. No offense at all tonight.
-
All in all, good first point.
-
That was a hellava shot by Gionta.
-
I think we'll see Nic Des on the blue line in the third. Pretty useful guy to have.
-
Can't we ever get out of a period at least tied?
-
I never enjoyed a loss as much as I've enjoyed this.
Agreed. If we're gonna tank, this is the way to tank.
-
Gotta love Kaleta throwing punches with a broken face just a month ago.
-
Team is starting to look like a Ted Nolan team again.

They say that the puck follows good players. The puck never seems to follow Grigo. He seems to never have the puck.
