  1. I feel sorry for Nashville, they rolled the dice and came up short and now it seems everyone will bail. Apart from Goose.
  2. Just stay away from Papa John's - they tried to screw me over once!
  3. Come on dominos
  4. I just find no interest in the Wild. Their team is not that exciting and i still think of them as playing boring hockey. They are irrelevant, They have not made the playoffs in 4 years and haven't made it past the QF in 8 years. They seem like a team that haven't gone anywhere but haven't sucked enough either. However, i am glad that a small market got these guys - just teams i prefer
  5. Parise is a bit of a dick for doing that.
  6. Is there anyway to regulate these signings? In 5 years there will be like 5 teams who can even afford to get to the cap floor. That or in 10 years the NHL will disband (probably more likely)
  7. They admitted to wanting to sign with the same team yesterday
  8. Is the Wild owner rich enough to pay both the players $25mil over first two years? That is a lot of bacon :s This annoys me for some reason. Probably because Minnesota is a nothing place
  9. Don't the Wild play really boring hockey?
  10. I don't like the fact they went to the same team because: a) It meant the Sabres were out b) It is boring c) it seems unfair :P
  11. Why can't either of the big two decide already?? Every other FA in history has managed to be more decisive. I really hope neither go back to their former teams, as that would literally make this wsit pointless
  12. Put a decent goalie (Miller) behind that defence and you won't need any offence :P
  13. I agree, I was excited about him and Boyes - less so about the other 2. However, i think that Zubrus and the chance of resigning him (he said he wanted to resign) got swept under the rug, what with black sunday
  14. Pipe Dream Alert: So, i was thinking today, we could still be a long shot for Parise, but if he signed here, imgaine if we trade Vanek/Adam/Brennan (or something like that) to CBJ for Nash... Parise-Coho-Nash Foligno-Ennis-Stafford Leino-Ott-Pominville Mccormick-Arnott-Kaleta
  15. Now Roy is gone, we only have 2 top 6 centres and both are under 22 - we can't afford to trade them away, unless we get another centre back. We have so much defence, at some point we should clear out a couple of players
  16. No way in hell. Ryan is really not that good
  17. Only way we trade for both Ryan and Nash is if we get Ryan and flip him for Nash, imo
  18. Most Sabres fans hate Roy, so they are glad. Guy is skilled (70 points probably), has a poor attitude off the ice (apparently). I don't mind him as much. He is not physical, dives a bit and can take lazy penalties. He does play in all situations, and is decent in all three zones. He is not a liability. The biggest blemish is his off-ice persona. He also has a wonderful summer house and occasionally throws toga parties
  19. Adam Richman ‏@AdamRichman @Roy9ner Honor's all mine. My thanks for being the type of athlete sports fans can admire. Beef on Weck on me next time!
  20. I think their UFA tracker is wrong, their article says 4 for 4
  21. Perhaps we should take the frenzy part out of the title?
  22. Can he even play hockey? I hope our top 9 have been working on their conditioning because with him in the line-up Lindy ain't rolling four lines. I guess this is a good pick up? I was never a huge fan of the goon role, all they do is sit on the bench. I am sure this is to do with protection of our stars, which is good and all; but firstly, Mccormick is normally a fun fighter to watch because he isn't a goon (although that fight posted here was good). However, i don't get the protection role, short of dressing him every game, are we just going to dress him against 'problem teams'? Or are we going to wait for someone to run Miller and dress this guy the next time we play them and watch him live the thug life live on TV? He averages 5 minutes a game and is described as a liability on the ice
  23. He played 25 games last year (missed almost half the season with an ankle injury) He played 52 games two years ago (missed 20+ games with an 'upper body injury' - concussion maybe?) He played 70 games 3 years ago, split between Chi and Min His issues seem to be different every time he is injured, which is obviously not that good, but it does mean if someone takes a chance on him he could be a good signing. Again, probably not for the Sabres (unless there was a big trade in place for multiple Dmen and we wanted Mcnabb to have another AHL focused year)
  24. Whatever happened to Cam Barker? The kid was all the talk along with seabrook and Keith, then he got traded a couple months before they win the stanley cup and kid of spiraled away ever since. He played with the Oilers last year - well known for lacking anything resembling a defence - and still couldn't get a contract extension. Does he have a bad attitude? I don't want the Sabres to go after him as we don't need him, but he always struck me as a top-4, anyone know anything about him? EDIT: I wouldn't mind the Sabres taking a swing at Langenrbunner - always liked him
  25. Trade for Bernier?
