  1. Who's next mother ? Do we got any founding fathers in the house tonight? The old guys can't speak atm. You all is stand ins. Peace.
  2. Which do you get more points for on Grand Theft Auto? Shooting a man, or running him down with your car? I don't but I'm sure that either is better than none. The point of the game is to kill. Reset. The point of the game is to kill. Reset. The point of the game is to kill. Reset... etc. High Score! Where do kids get these crazy ideas? Nobody wants to fight with their wits, or their fists. Yeah, Grand Theft Auto. Sacred cow. First and Second Amendments combined. Wake the up Founding Fathers! It's time for your latest and greatest. Knock, knock, knockin' on Heaven's do-or. KNOCK, KNOCK, KNOCKIN' ON HEA-VENS DO-O-R. knock, knock, knockin'. You there, GW? You there? JA what's happening? TJ, we gots to do sumpin bout this virtual killin. Betimes I ain't even sure what's real. Maybe I be askin the wrong dudez. John Quincy Adams, waz up dude? How you gonna solve it all, bro. Bettah yet, how you sayin we supposed to interpretate all dis? No answer. Who's next?
  3. Anyone tried Hamburg Brewing Co? Had their saison. It wasn't bad, but it tasted like cloves. I'd like to try their IPA. It's tough for local brews to compare with Southern Tier, for me. Not only did I go to school with the brewers, I also like everything about them and their beer- most of it. A couple sips of the creme brulee, mokah, or 2x milk stout is impressive, but cloyingly rich. I like their recent releases, and think they do session beers quite well.
  4. Regardless of any disagreements that we have had, or might have in the future, know that Yuri loves you for this, always and forever.
  5. Also, its my understanding that the Berlin wall was built by USSR to keep East Germans in. It would be more like the Great Wall of China, to keep invaders out. Maybe it could be pretty. Of course it would have to be better than the China Wall, because, you know... As a purely practical matter it's a shame there won't be slave labor. We'll never get this done on union wages. Even it did pay well, who would want to work in that heat? Hmmm... Wait a second! Just bring the Mexicans over to work on it! Problem solved.
  6. Ok. Maybe truth is somewhere in the middle. In high school, a friend who is gay said that his Catholic priest told him that all people fall on a scale that runs from all masculine to all feminine. Nobody is completely masculine or completely feminine. Everybody is somewhere in the middle. Maybe nobody is completely Republican or completely Democrat. Maybe nobody is for all guns in every situation or against all guns in every situation. If the issues are framed very narrowly, forcing a choice on a specific circumstance, which is meant to represent a much broader and complex spectrum of possibilities, then the question itself is divisive. The issue becomes a wedge that divides rather than unites the common peoples. If we focus on a specific occurence, be it Jenner or Columbine, then we fail to see the issue in its full glory. It's like only judging Kim K. for her XXX, while failing to realize what an nasty XXXX she has.
  7. Is Caitlyn Jenner a representation of anything more than Caitlyn Jenner? If you badmouth Jenner, are you badmouthing all transexuals? Are you for Jenner or against her? Her or him? Caitlyn or Bruce? You must not flip flop on your decision. This is extremely important!
  8. Like he needed your approval, punk. If the minimym wage goes up, mine goes up too. If the 'Mericans are being all ironic making ping pong balls, and living large in nice apartments driving pimped out Ford hatchbacks, F China, yay tariffs, cha ching. #feelthebern Bump, bump. This ride ain't a Honda. It's a made in America, by my homies sucka!
  9. Aye, there's the wedge. Liberal vs Conservative. It's complete BS. The way it's all framed is devisive. Let's talk issues. The Bernmiester's talking real talk. He's not paassing "would you rather" notes. High School sucked. Jocks vs Geeks is BS.
  10. Wasn't in the game. For those of us who don't like to waste their time.
  11. Poor baby. Did you see a poo poo, and need a hug? I am so sowwy you had to see that poo poo or pee pee wittle baby. Aw you awight?
  12. They have priced me out of this whole decision making process. Last year, the scrimmage was free. Internet, cable, access, F you SwampD. You'll take me phone next, won't ye, barstard? wink.
  13. Dunno. At first, I thought Neo must be neoconservative, because he said that he was reading Aynn Rand. My older brother is Gen X, and he was the same way. Was Reagan that great a guy? No, he was a decent actor. What divides me from my brother, then? Is it Reagan worship? Carter hate? We should live in perfect harmony, if I could just convince myself to not hate Reagan, and to tone down the Carter worship a notch or two. My brother. What is the wedge issue, teeheehuh, hoo, hoo, (crying emoticon).
  14. Neo, you've been kind to me, but we're an odd couple. I think we both analyze things and see the same patterns through different lenses. I don't want to put words in your mouth but from what you say I would think that you would be for raising the minimum wage. But you strike me as a libertarian. What do you think the wedge issue is between Bernie Sanders voters and Rand Paul folks?
  15. Anyway, the founding fathers might as well be contemporary. Revisionist historians are done played out.
  16. I agree with what you said about the supply side of the chain, and the law of supply and demand. If the government were to give money to students I could see the scenario that you presented playing out, where colleges made more profits on each student. The other scenario to consider which falls outside the law of supply and demand, would be the government buttressing the supply-side rather then the students. That would fall out side of the lines of supply and demand. Supply would be inflated through the choice of the democracy for the benefit of the people. In such a system the people would have a control over what is supplied to them. For any sort of success the basis of the democracy would have to be well informed and active in the governmental process. For example, if statewide tuition were to be free that would require a competent board to oversee statewide curriculum. The worst case scenario would be for that board to evolve into a partisan political power grab, Dec would attract the likes of Carl Paladino. To me it seems that socialism in the Democratic sense takes more effort on the part of the average voter than the current system Fn mobile phone. I've got to edit that.
  17. I was't sure if I was the hero or the butt of endless jokes. One things for sure, it was like we were cheering for the Soviets. It was ironic. It was hip. Uncle Bill didn't get it, teehee. Let me just say, that if I were a Bolshevik, I'd be wary about voting for an establishment figure like Senator Bernie Sanders. In fact, if you hate Bolshevism, vote for Bernie. Millenials, it's Go Time. Register Democrat, so you can vote in the primary. That would be ironic of us to put down our bongs just long enough to take over the country. #feelthebern
  18. "You cannot get to me with hatred and oppression and violence," Newsome shouted from the top of the pole, according to video. "I come against you in the name of God. This flag comes down today."
  19. I sent this to the News. It's unlikely they'll print it and I wouldn't get paid anyway, so... for your review. Free distribution. Unfinished Business I’d like you to know that there are monuments for Dylann Roof that justify his ideology. Here’s a short list of places you can visit to celebrate him. There’s the Jefferson Davis Memorial you could visit in Pembroke, Kentucky. There’s the Robert E. Lee Memorial in Fort Meyer, Virginia. Drive down the highways named after Confederate heroes. Don’t forget your Confederate flag license plates. Whistle Dixie. Let your heart swell with pride, and tears well up in your eyes as you salute the Confederate flag in Charleston, South Carolina. There are plenty of other statues and state sponsored symbols where one can pay homage to Dylann Roof. There are plenty of churches and worshiping places for Confederate white supremacy. I’d like to finish the Civil War. I’d like to strap explosives to Confederate statues and memorials and blow them up. I’d like to shoot the highway and street signs bearing Confederate names so full of holes as to render them illegible. I’d like to implode the 351 ft. Jefferson Davis obelisk and leave it in ruins. I’d like to burn a pile of Confederate flags on top of “The Recumbent Lee,” then spray paint “traitor” on the black scorched surface. Does this make me a terrorist? I think it makes me a real American. I’m the freed slave. I’m the woman who votes. I’m the man who whooped the Nazi’s. I’m the one the Confederates surrendered to unconditionally. I’m the sum total of the American experience. Unconditionally, the Confederate soldiers surrendered to me in their sorry rags, starved, beaten, and bloodied. I was never the Confederate. That never was me. They lowered their flag to save their miserable lives from my vengeance and I will not tolerate for that flag to rise again. I am an American, and it is my birthright and honor to tear down the last vestiges of the Confederacy. As an American, I pray for my nation’s soldiers to seek out and destroy their statues and symbols, the churches and worshiping places of Dylann Roof and his fellow Confederates.
  20. My family is mind-numbingly boring, so I find arguments intellectually stimulating. I'm super into the mods/owner having a presence though, which I feel gives the board more of a family or community atmosphere. If it was just fights, I wouldn't like it, but when the mods act like humans and referees, I understand. Another reason to love Girgensons is that his name is Zemgus, and some parents in WNY will pay homage. Another reason to love Zemgus is that he gives us a leg up on recruiting the cream of the Latvian crop, so long as our GM isn't a xenophobe.
  21. It's also a tough judge that accuses Russians of being immoral without knowing anything about day-to-day life there and things that may be better or worse. Like saying Leafs Fans are reprehensible from a never-crossed-the-border perspective.
  22. Yes, nfreeman. Thank YOU. Just my perspective, but I felt I knew what would happen when Hoss (isn't that a cowboy name?) came into the thread, saying that horse racing is abusive and should be banned. I thought I knew that he'd committed a blindside hit, like Cris Neil on Cris Drury in the context of a horse racing thread. I also thought I knew which sleeping giant would eventually wake up to smash Cris Neil down with his fist. So I took a couple cheap shots at Neil for myself, then cleared out of the way and waited for our heavyweight to arrive, What I didn't expect was for Neil to chat up Briere's girlfriend in the meantime. Arrive our heavyweight did. There wasn't any question that he'd win, as usual, but it wasn't gratuitous violence. He showed us a gentler side. Like pulling the jersey over Neils head, to make him feel shame emotionally, rather than physical pain. Proof indeed that our heavyweight is an animal abuser. ps. Don't get a big head Ghost.
  23. A 15 year old white kid named Brandon Brooks shot the video. He heard about the pool party on Twitter. The rules at the pool was community members only. 2 guests allowed. Here's the earlier fight that presumably prompted the call to the police. Game misconduct if you ask me, on the second white lady in the fight. The two black kids who pulled the girl away did a better job than the cops. They basically did the job of the cops. Well done kids. WTF was the security guard in the tan shirt doing? Yelling "get her, KC?"
  24. The crazy thing about this recent video is the way that the white kid with the camera gets treated. Evander Kane ‏@evanderkane_9 15h15 hours ago There are a lot of great Police Officers out there and this #McKinney cop is clearly not part of that group. I would call this act racism. 121 retweets260 favorites Reply Retweet121 Favorite260 More Evander Kane ‏@evanderkane_9 15h15 hours ago Cop in McKinney pulls a Gun on a CHILD and throws her to the ground?! 25. The crying at horses, Ghost, I have that too. I call it the Secretariat Effect. We, Hoss, are at their mercy. Even a crap family horse usually has servants waiting on it, tending to its every need. If only we were so lucky.
