That was one of the WORST Sabres' powerplays I've seen, in a season of bad PP. It looked like friggin' even strength. Fans have a right to be displeased with such a half-hearted effort.

Brilliant to scratch Kaleta for no good reason.... the team's PK has been lacking since he's been out, and he's clearly important for defense. I don't think it any coincidence the team lost 3 or 4 games in a row when he was suspended - they were bad even by Buffalo standards of hockey play.

Really? Up until today, Stafford's stats were worse than Grigs. Grigs is -2, Stafford was -8, 2 goals, 7 assists for 9 points, with 2x the ice time. Grigs is 1 goal, 4 assists for 5 points. Grigs productivity was 42 minutes - Staffords was 49. But the point is - if Grigs' defense isn't good, then he ought to take a bunch of other Sabres with him to Quebec!. LOL

I'd let him come FRACK on my OWN street, hell, he could park his trucks in MY yard, if it meant improving this team (hint - firing Regier!)

That seems incredible that a GM that's been here for 17 years, hasn't come close to winning a cup in about 15 years, looks to be squeezed from the playoffs for a second straight season, with a team with one of, if not THE highest payrolls in the NHL and the least to show for it, would not be on thin ice. Pegula needs to pull his head out of the sand and get to some pressers and hear what everyone else is saying ABOUT Regier. Wow - again, I am astonished. Lameo was actually on the positive side of the equation. OTOH, we have a team that gave up 3 goals in about 15 minutes of hockey, and we sent down a promising young star in Grigs because he wasn't good enough at defense? Even if that's true, it seems to me that he should take a lot of this team with him to Quebec, especially anyone whose a "minus" today - which includes Sekera, Pominville, Regher and Hodgson.

Wow the Carl Pavano of the NHL actually did something? I am impressed. How was his plus minus?

I missed most of the game except for the last 10 minutes of play. How was the triumphant return of Lameo? Did he do anything or was he useless as tits on a bull as usual?

My only thought....Pegula should fire Regier plain and simple.

Flynn with 2 goals and 3 points in 6 games, and +1, sent down to make room for the Carl Pavano of the NHL, Ville Leino??? We scoring too often, is that why we need to get Leino in there? Flynn has as many goals as Stafford has in his last 30 games. Aren't there worse players we could send down?

Just to try to help keep everyone's euphoria over the win last night in due bounds, don't forget that the Sabres were mathematically due for a win, from a pure probability standpoint, and that the team they beat (the Rangers) isn't exactly setting the NHL on fire this season - they're 15th out of 30 in the league in points.

Boston just surrendered a 2-0 lead with only 6:21 left in the 3rd to eventually lose 3-2 to the Penguins in regulation. Love to see the Bruins crash and burn, giving up all 3 goals in about 4 minutes. LOL

Yep, that was in the top 1/3rd of bad PP efforts for the season so far, in a year of one bad effort after another.

So why does Chief Woodenlegs (Myers) seem to keep getting picked to lead off the PP? He's usually pretty useless, and this time he drew an offside that costs precious seconds.

So will Enroth get a Cramppuccino this period like the last time he played?

Wow, did Buffalo even have a legitimate shot during that PP? That was horrible.

Another sad excuse for a "powerplay" in progress as I type this - Enroth should have to be covering up. Sigh!
