  1. Well, here we go. The Sabres CANNOT play a full 60 minutes - they're just too soft. Defense was TERRIBLE on that goal, and can't blame on Myers this time. But the problem has been..... the puck has spent almost the entire 3rd period in the Sabres zone - and much of the 2nd too.
  2. It seems to me like Ruffston doesn't see any issues with Myers game play - he just keeps sending him out there again and again and again.
  3. Crap - thought Otter was gonna get another one right there.
  4. Yep - Chief Woodenlegs turns the puck over lazily in the Sabres zone, lets the Habs keep control, and results in a goal for the Habs. Seems like Myers is ALWAYS on the ice when the opponents score - don't think it's ANY accident!!!
  5. Sabres have gone to sleep offensively. They can't let the Habs just keep banging away at their goal for the next 15 minutes - or it will go bad. They've got to get in the Habs zone.
  6. "upper body injury"?? Didn't Vanek take that puck right in the knee????
  7. Holy macaroni - we still lead at the end of 2 periods? We didn't give up a goal in the 2nd? Crazy!
  8. No, but they have eased off offensively a huge amount this period- think they've had only 1 shot on goal in the last 15 minutes or so, vs 9 for the Habs.
  9. Can we decline the PP? We're doing so well, hate to lose momentum. LOL
  10. Good work, Sabres, on the PK! One of the more effective PPs in the league, too.
  11. We have a better chance on this PK with Patty Kaleta out there.
  12. Wow. I am stunned. A solid across the board effort by the Sabres. They can't possibly lose now can they?
  13. Otter!!!! Kaleta back maybe they got a little attitude? It's early though... too early for optimisim
  14. It would be nice if they could start the game up there without all the French screwing around - 7:40 pm and there's still carpet on the ice. Penguins and Caps are dropping the puck right now Finally..... and Hodgson loses his first face off.
  15. Canadians, Canadiens, does it really matter? Both have an aura of maple-syrupiness and canadian bacon about them. Predicting a solid win for the Amerks tonight.
  16. I personally had no issue with Griggs being sent down. However if the decision was based purely on performance then he should have had a helluva lot of company to go with him.
  17. Contrast Pominville with an effective captain like Toews of Chicago. He is aggressive sets the tone on the ice, backs the other players up in scrums. Pominville on the other hand is almost invisible in his role as Captain. He almost always disappears when there's any trouble on the ice. This is a soft team built by Darcy regier and coached Appropriately soft by Lindy Ruff and now by Ruffton so I suppose he's a perfect fit For a Lindy Darcy team.
  18. I forgot to add the empty net can be very tough! Although it gave the Washington Capitals problems last night it's also denied the Buffalo Sabres. Case in point Jason PomPomstein earlier this season. Lol
  19. Yeah. Right. Stafford - -2 Myers - -1 Erhoff - -2 Porter- -2 Hecht - -1 Great braggable stuff right there. Was Pompomstein at the same game we were watching?
  20. Yup. One of the highest, if not highest payrolls in the NHL too. Yet mostly Darcy has stocked the shelves with bottom shelf talent. Like another poster mentioned, who from our team would be placed above the number 3 line for the Penguins, or Chicago or Anaheim, etc?
