Well, I just meant to be comical rather than a bash on Miller.... but I posted this before it came out that Miller was bashing Kaleta..... maybe he needs a little dose of humility? :)

You realize that means that Regier's greasy fingerprints could be all over this team for nearly a quarter century!? That is just unprecedented in the NHL - only a Buffalo team could be managed that stupidly and shockingly badly!

The obvious problem was losing the faceoff so completely and cleanly - that set up an instant shot by Ovechkin. Pompomstein might want to mention that.

Miller had a 5.0 GAA after 58 minutes of play. Of course, the Empty Net only got ~ 2 minutes of ice time, but it had a sparkling GAA of 0.00. The net was tough and stingy - Overratedchikin couldn't get one past it - and neither could the rest of the Caps even with the puck for an extended period in the Buffalo zone.

That essentially, Myers' penalty that resulted in that Caps goal was stupid, inexcusable, and served no purpose. And that he's supposed to be a defenseman, but in the footage they replayed he took the puck into the Caps zone, then should have skated to the other side and let the offense take over, but that he turned and tried to forecheck against the Caps players.... he's forgetting he's defense and not offense Annnndddddd..... an unpressured Myers flubbed basic puck-handling again and turned the puck over to the Caps in the Sabres zone.

Yep - I was busy doing some other things, but I went back and watched the segment - nothing to argue against there. He was spot on.

I agree... hard to be optimistic. Foligno looked superb last year - and now he's come crashing back to reality.
